People always say that money brings out the worst in people; however, I think money shows who they really are.
I sometimes feel like those who are at rock bottom can sometimes be put into situations where they are acting in a 'depraved' way in order to survive.
When people have some money (even for us who struggle) and have basic needs met, roof over their head, food, a little left over for wants, not needs - we tend to act civilly to one another for the most part and 'depravity' is frowned upon.
For those in middle to upper-middle class it's the same - depravity is even more frowned upon in 'polite society'.
But then we get up to the wealthy elites and they act (allegedly, of course) even more depraved than those at rock bottom.
I don't know what the moral of the story should be, this is only an observation.

I really think it has to do with her husband. The fact that he was even able to be in the position of becoming a personal trainer to Cassie, who Diddy was clearly isolating, means he had already built connections and a rapport before even getting to Diddy. Diddy's arrogance means he'll want the best of the best, so that must've been him.
Plus, he has continued to be able to work despite the fact that he married Cassie and that she left Diddy for him. His net worth has increased since then, even before the lawsuit, but other people would've had their careers destroyed or worse. And with him by her side, she was emboldened enough to make a stand to the police, even though Cassie was clearly reluctant and didn't want to.
The fact that this man could stand up to Diddy, AND maintain a presence and career beyond him, after "betraying" and humiliating him, when SO many people who were LOYAL to him perished, PLUS got Cassie out TWICE - because remember!!! She was with him during KPs funeral!! -
I think that man must be waaaay more intelligent than what Diddy thought. I think he played the long game, got a LOT of evidence, cause he was around a LOT, disarmed and flattered Diddy into a false sense of security until it was his time to strike. I think whatever he had initially was enough to leverage their security TWICE, and then whatever Cassie got when she was there for the funeral was enough to bring down the hammer.
I think Cassie might've been lost without him, and I think he saved her, and empowered her to save herself. I think he is the key, especially with his silence, and was a wild card Diddy didn't see coming.
