Welcome to the Cowboy Ranch! I hope you liked our trip to Manitoulin Island! If you did, leave me a little thumbs up and a comment letting me know where we should go next? 😀😀
I have enjoyed watching your road trip so so much!! You guys have done an amazing job finding all these amazing quirky places 😁 Thank you for sharing your trip with us ❤
@@HolyFreakinDragonSlayer Ooh... well it has been a longish transition for me! I went veggie at 7 years old when I learned about Mad Cow Disease in the U.K and why that came about (cheap meat production meant that cows were being fed parts of other cows...which...urgh!) Then between 14 and 28 I ate meat again. I am actually a pretty big meat lover.... high quality meat though, don't get me wrong. I love steak and roast chicken and, I don't know if you follow me on Instagram or not, my job involves a lot of eating .... I LOVE food. I think the reason I stopped eating meat was because I just couldn't reconcile the exchange. Yes, the majority of the meat industry is gruesome, but you are right...there are some ethically sourced ways to get meat. Ultimately what has stopped me eating meat is looking into the eyes of an animal and thinking "can I kill you". I know I couldn't kill a cow, pig, chicken etc so I don't (personally, no judgement) think I deserve to eat one. I DO however, eat fish. Danny doesn't, but I will eat local fish, especially shellfish which I don't feel very guilty about at all. I have had a few instances where I have eaten meat in the past couple of years and I don't judge myself too harshly when I do, but ultimately it is a life choice to try not to. I know if I were living hundreds of years ago then meat would have necessary to survive, but we have evolved and adapted into a much more abundant species that I just don't think it is necessary any more when I wouldn't have the balls to hunt an animal for myself. I'll let Danny speak for himself if he sees this, but that is the full answer of why I personally don't eat it anymore! :)
Manitoulin Island is such a peaceful place and I haven't been since 2015. My parents had a camp out there and I always loved going there. Bridal Veil, the Cup and Saucer Trailer, Gore Bay, Meldrum Bay, and so much more. Loved the video and thank you for brining me down memory lane. Also fun fact Manitoulin is the largest freshwater island in the world.
Thanks for the great showcase of Manitoulin...Im a fourth generation Summer resident and it was so nice see some of my favourite areas being highlighted on a cold February covid night! Hopefully will be back in July of 2021. Thanks for the smiles.
This video popped up in recommend to watch,I couldn't believe it!!! My father and his family were born and raised on Manitoulin island and the family would go there every summer for vacation and stay at my great aunt's house for three weeks in town!!! This is amazing and brings back so many child hood memories😊
I lived in Sudbury, which is only 1 hour from Manatoulin Island. My parents used to bring us camping at Providence Bay, where these folks visited. And it was the best times of our lives as kids growing up. My siblings are so grateful for Mom and Dad and the life they provided for us. They have been in Heaven for some time and cant wait to reunite with them in eternity :-) > > >
Nice to see you had a great time in Northern Ontario. I'm from Sudbury, so very familiar with the areas of your roadtrip. I would have recommended hiking The Crack at Killarney Provincial Park, which is in between Sudbury and Manitoulin Island. Very rugged towards the end, but also very beautiful. But that can always be for another time. It's good to get the word out about Northern Ontario! Question, and maybe this would make for a good topic for a video, but have any Canadian artists/bands become new favourites since your time here? I find Canada has such a varied musical culture, but so many artists/bands aren't very well known outside Canada beyond the same 5 or so, (Nickelback, Celine Dion, Barenaked Ladies, Anne Murray, Nickelback), so it would be fun to hear about your musical discoveries :)
Don't know if you managed to do it but there is a ferry between Manitoulin and Tobermory called the Chi-Cheemaun that is a popular way to get to the island.
I have finally been able to watch all of your trip vlogs! I really enjoyed your trip with you and Danny!!! I dont normally watch vlogs let alone comment on videos however I just want to let you know that I really appreciate the time effort and hard work you have put into bringing us with you on your trip!! Thank you
Just came across your vlog the other day and have watched 2 so far. I have enjoyed both very much. I’ve lived in Ontario all my life (76 yrs) and have never been up to Manitoulin Island. An island within a fresh water lake with a fresh water lake within the island, I think.
you and danny are so wonderful. best travel show ever. i think you two should travel the world. i would be glued to the screen. happy and safe travels xo

I really like how you guys pay attention to the little things that make your videos interesting. The shots of you guys climbing up the trail were great video production. I run a video production company so I can’t help but notice that stuff. Keep up the great work!
I have to be honest - that's all Danny! Their are plenty of edited out moments of me saying things like "can't we just actually DO the hike"....guess who was asking to steal his footage when we got home because it looked so nice 🐒🙈🙋!

How often can one say watching a UA-cam video, hey I did exactly the same trip except we took the ferry to the island which Id highly recommend. We also stayed in the "luxury" teepee at the ranch. A word of warning, the owner of the ranch has a feud going with the couple that runs the horse riding camp next door.
Didn't realize there was Cowboy Ranches in Canada. Always thought of that as more a Texas thing. You see, these travel logs of yours is educational, Rebecca. 😉 Anyways, looks like fun and lovely. Thank you.
Alberta is the Texas of Canada. Actually I think Calgary, Alberta has the biggest stampede festival in the world. Everyone dress up like a cowboy when the festival arrives. So,you will see more cowboy stuff in Alberta than Texas. Yet, this is not even Alberta. She was in Ontario.
If you like hiking the woods that requires some moderate climbing rather then just straight walking you should visit more places in along the Niagara Escarpment. Since I am from Hamilton I know lots of great places in the Hamilton and surrounding area of the Escarpment, but the entire Escarpment has some amazing places to hike. Hamilton area hiking I personally love and recommend you and Danny take an autumn day or week end trip to see if you have time; The Devil's Punchbowl (it's beautiful to hike the valley around the bowl when the falls are flowing, and really nice to walk the upper trail when the falls are dry since the river bed at the top of the falls is solid stone and you can walk it like some kind of road made by nature at some places), Lower Chedoke Falls (Upper is nice too but the hiking is more difficult), Dundas Peak which also includes Webster and Tews Falls depending on where you enter to hike (This one is a Provincial Park so you do have to pay to park there), Felker's Falls Conservation Area (it's not a very big place and this one hasn't much climbing but if you do a big hike through the Red Hill Valley trails it's a great place to stop and eat a picnic or just rest), Red Hill Valley which is actually an area of connected trails between parks and conservation's; notable places to hike would be places like The Upper and Lower (C) King's Forest (Note you will see a lot about a place called Albion Falls in this area if you hike it make sure you do not climb any fences or on the falls/rocks off the path, etc the city is super serious about fining people at Albion Falls since it's technically private property the owners let the trail run through and people kept needing to be rescued for getting hurt for climbing on the falls which is expensive so it's now fenced off and monitored closely by bi-law enforcers if you do much more then hike the public trail or look at the falls from the trail)
Ooooh some great recommendations, thank you! I have been to Niagara a few times this summer because I work in the wine-sphere quite often. I know the escarpment is the reason why we're able to get the right climate to grow the grapes. I have hiked Dundas Peak but the falls sound amazing - I especially like the sound of The Devil's Punchbowl! Thanks for the recommendations!
@@RebeccaFelgateOfficial The Punchbowl is really nice. It's one of my regular places for walks since it's so close by to me. There is also a nice little old fashioned market/shop up there (closed in the winter though) worth a stop if you ever go for a walk/hike there while it's open

We stayed in Ontario (our province) and followed Covid guidelines :) The service industries and tourism industries need us to keep doing what we can - SAFELY - of course! As we're both fit, healthy and very cautious (perhaps I should have shared more footage of us wearing our masks), we decided to get out of Toronto for a bit. I think it's probably more dangerous to walk around in downtown Toronto than it is go on a road trip to sparsely populated areas.
Danny should know that it possibly took those stones thousands of years to work their way out of the stream and there he is throwing them back in. SHAME ON YOU!!!! 🤥😉😁 😂 Watching your video filled me with a mix of enjoyment and jealousy. I am considered homebound and have been unable to get out and move about for the best part of the last ten years. Basically, I am jealous seeing you out having a great time but, at the same time, I am more enjoying the beautiful scenery that you were generous enough to share, Thank you so very much for that. 🤗😊🤗 ***(Please excuse my sad attempt at humor in the first line. It's an inside joke my father always said to us when we were throwing stones into a lake. 🤭)

@@RebeccaFelgateOfficial I don't know what that started out to be but that's not what it was is. talk-to-text does not understand me but I hope you get me. I just remember the picture of you coming out of the cabin apparently when the video was you filming yourself coming out of the cabin it was a picture that I commented on your Instagram feed that came true in a video I don't know what it was that it was supposed to say but it worked out for the comment and I got a response so I hope that was worth the confusion if you got a chuckle and I didn't mean to be funny at least we all got to laugh am I right?
@@RebeccaFelgateOfficial by the way where are your poems that story about the owls read in Your lullaby tone of voice was a bedtime story that almost put me to sleep but I thought we were going to hear mostly your poems and so far we have seen none of them out of the four video when Rebecca reads expression is the art the medium is only relevant through that expression and I would like to hear your poetry because I love poetry it's still an expression have a beautiful flower even if the petals are torn off and put into a cocktail just common ground that I thought would be neat to learn and words contain the power whenever they mean something to whomever they move just wanted to see how tired for you your poetry is and how it impacted me no point unless there is one I'm just saying
The door on the cabin is called a "Dutch door".
GREETINGS from New York State, Rebecca!
Hi!!!
Is it really a good idea to be going all around the country during a pandemic? :/
You look so Happy 😁
It’s the queen herself back with another one
I know I always say it but I love the videos 👍😁
I always appreciate it!
Great video 👍
Thanks!
Danny should know that it possibly took those stones thousands of years to work their way out of the stream and there he is throwing them back in.
SHAME ON YOU!!!! 🤥😉😁 😂
Watching your video filled me with a mix of enjoyment and jealousy. I am considered homebound and have been unable to get out and move about for the best part of the last ten years. Basically, I am jealous seeing you out having a great time but, at the same time, I am more enjoying the beautiful scenery that you were generous enough to share, Thank you so very much for that. 🤗😊🤗
***(Please excuse my sad attempt at humor in the first line. It's an inside joke my father always said to us when we were throwing stones into a lake. 🤭)
Haha, he was part of their grand journey! I am so glad that you like our videos and they offer you a little joy. I have also found a good book as grand an adventure as many I have taken outdoors. I hope you are able to get out and about just a little, even if its to meet the fresh air every now and then. Sending you love and fairytales!
Stunning views 😍😍
And Miss Rebecca... We saw that cheeky squeeze of Danny's bottom 😄🤣🤣
Haha.... ;)
Lived there when I was a little boy.
Omg the food always looks yum😭

it’s weird seeing where you live.
I got dibs if you and Danny don’t work out lol.
84 acres to share. Manitoulin. Homestead lifestyle
What a nice relaxing trip with quaint accommodations, good food, and amazing scenery. Well done.
We had the best time! Thanks for watching!
Next time you're up that way stop in Spanish for a pizza at the place with the moose logo.

Hello Ms Rebecca Felgate. I am new here. Are you into martial arts?
Not especially, but I give everything a try!
♥️♥️♥️
The Eighth Wonder of the World: the back side of water! O-2-H! O-2-H!
This is a mysterious message but I like it all the same!
@@RebeccaFelgateOfficial It's a line from Disney's Jungle Cruise ride, when they go behind the waterfall. It's the back side of water, so instead of H2O they chant O2H.
