Hello Meister - do you have a video about setting up the game in W10 to run it? I can't make it work, the resolution for my menu screen is way out of bounds and can't even see the option/race buttons.
That sounds liike a GPU issue. NFS tends to work way better with AMD GPUs over Nvidia. I tried NFS once with a GTX 1060 and it crashed everytime i started a race. If you have a Nvidia GPU you can buy a good AMD GPU explicitly for this game for low money. My recommendation would be an AMD Radeon HD 7970 for around 30 €.

It looks like you have analog steering. Do you use a wheel? I had to run this game in a Win XP VM because I could not get it to run on Windows 10, so I mapped PC controls to an Xbox pad. It plays fine, but I didn't have analog steering, my thumbstick was mapped to arrow keys. I'm wondering if I should replay the game and try to pass through a gamepad to the VM.
I use a wheel but it's a pretty cheap Thrustmaster 458 Italia. You can't run the original version 3.4 on Windows 10 since the program insta dies when you open it. You can just google for NFS PU 3.5 Patch. With these you can update your game and technically run it on Windows 10.
Now take these skills and bring them to Iracing, Assetto Corsa, Automobilista 2, Competizone and hopefully EVO. There's entire communities for each game that have discords where you can sign up for races that aren't just a bunch of destructive randoms. Sim Racing dot GP is a good place to start
I'd recommend reading the video description. I highly doubt that i can get any of these games running on a 14 year old AMD Radeon HD 6950 which was originally designed to run most games of that time at the extinct resolution of 1600x900. I'm a university student who can not afford a fancy PC and the additional equipment to take sim-racing seriously so i'll stick to what i have.
@@theracingwarrior Assetto Corsa can run on insanely low spec, will 100% run on that card, it's on sale for 4.99. The modding is endless in that game, every single track/car is in it and more, maybe even some NFS ones. All the wheels have the same internals below DD wheels. People get world records with them. World records done in true sim games can get millions of views. If you learn to drive in Asseto Corsa it will translate to real life and every other games in the future, just a better way to do it.
