This was animated in maya with objects typically moving along a spline. Most of the effort goes into the camera work. Aftereffects has been using for colour grading.
Hi Dirk, The music is actually from Premiumbeat if I remember correctly. Basically if you can find a music track that's already sounds great, then your trailer is half-way there. I'll certainly consider posting a making of at some point but really I'm using the same techniques as everyone else is - it's just my geometry is low-poly, most vehicles are just on a spline path and a think a lot about the camera work. I use Maya but Blender is capable of the same, just depends on you software preference. Cheers.
