Thank you for sharing 🙏The book binding was so satisfying to watch 🥰 And the final piece looks so well done I can't believe it's your first time binding books,! You're amazing 💜
Your zines look beautiful! You did such a great job sewing them! The thread is waxed to help prevent it from knotting because it's a little slippery, and it also helps keep the strands off thread together so it doesn't fray and break, making the thread stronger overall.
Oh wow, you will bind every single zine by hand? I thought you are going to order from some manifacturer. They look so good! I don't think I can afford to buy one, sadly, even tho I really want one! 😭 I hope I have the chance in the future with another of your projects! I use waxed thread to make bracelets. Or I even wax myself some threads I wanna use. I bet they use waxed thread for similar reasons in book binding too, to make the thread more easy to handle. I mean, it's almost imposible to make bracelets with unwaxed thread, it keeps getting loose, but with the wax is more stable. I also wanted to try book binding and I didn't know they use waxed thread there as well. Btw, are you uploading less frequently these days or is it just me?
Last chance before 8/1! if you want to purchase the zine, here's the link to my shop : www.heyitsjc.studio

Thank you so much! I was so worried at first, but your comment makes me glad I made this decision to hand-make the zine~
