    What’s really valuable is your showing the process here... so many combinations even in a dozen pieces.
    I think the orange trousers would also look great with denim, that periwinkle sweater (?) on the rack, or any beige/tan items. The loafers would work great with feminine shorter skirts/dress as well.

    I like what you said about how adding accessories dilutes the impact of statement pieces. Something to keep in mind.

    That jumpsuit looks so good on you!! Loved your playing with color in this one and trying some different silhouettes.

    Thanks for all your hard work and efforts in producing this video, I thoroughly enjoyed it! I love listening to your insight, it really inspires me to reflect on how to style my clothing and realise things I do and don't like. I find myself saving a lot of Pinterest photos but not having the exact pieces to recreate them. Listening to your process of how you extract what you like from the outfits to recreate the aesthetic with what you have and add your own personal twist is really helpful!

    Really love how you encourage people to use what they have to re create outfits rather than just to blindly buy the exact same pieces. Makes so much sense to keep it in alignment with your personal style

    This video is pretty inspiring because I love looking at style ideas on Pinterest, but sometimes I get overwhelmed because I don’t have yellow pants or the exact item in the Inspiration pic. But these were some great tips on how to translate the inspiration into your own style by using pieces that you actually own.
    Ps. Love the Monica Vinader pieces of jewelry

      I'm so glad! I think it's the reason I used to not recreate outfits - it seemed like I never had the right pieces and had to shop for them. So glad this video helped xx

    Amazing tips as always! You do a great job demonstrating how to be creative with a small wardrobe without constantly buying new things.
    I’m also obsessed with those white loafers. I’ve been searching high and low for a good pair of chunky white loafers, and I’m definitely adding those to my wishlist!

    I loved your renditions of the outfits and I'm definitely stealing a lot of these ideas 😊
    We usually see a lot of stacked pearl and chain necklaces, but not many beaded ones, I really loved the charm they added here! I have a few beautiful beaded necklaces that my great-grandmother brought from Africa, in rich colours like carnelian and lapis lazuli, and I kept them for sentimental value but I never exactly thought of ways to wear them. Now I see the potential of stacking them!

    I have a coral red knit from Sezane - I wear it with a mid blue jean a lot, which somehow works. It also looks good if I pair it with a beige. I'm similar in that I prefer high contrast. I'd say mine seems to lean a bit more red. But it's still a challenging color for me too :)
    I also like pairing it with a dark navy pants + tanktop.

    • @DailyHelenJ
      @DailyHelenJ  2 роки тому +1

      Oh I think I know which knit you're talking about and imagining it with a mid blue sounds lovely! Beige is definitely on my to try list, the two colours feel like it would work so well. Thank you for the ideas xx

      @@DailyHelenJ Oh! A cool dark brown could also potentially work. I sometimes layer mine with a dark brown blazer (last season COS) and I really like that vibe too. It makes it looks a little bit more put together. I could see these pants also work with a dark brown top (or indeed something light beige/creme-ish) Sometimes I wear my cardigan open for a pop of color under my brown blazer (learned this from your vids where you use denim!).

      I wonder if you would be interested in checking out Ebonee Gatlin: SEZANE inspired thrift haul (UA-cam) which she just put up a few days ago. She styles a coral red vintage knit with dark wash vintage denim and clogs that look exactly like the ones Helen’s wearing. Is there synergy in the air or what?

    I tend to pair orange pants with navy or green, perhaps with cream accents. I also pair a black graphic short sleeve tshirt, but not a black button up. My only orange pants are a burnt orange, so I think they’re a bit more muted compared to what you are wearing.

    • @DailyHelenJ
      @DailyHelenJ  2 роки тому

      I like the idea of cream - something less harsh than white I actually think would work so so well :) Definitely going to try this colour combo next. Thank you Ann!

    Dark colors and high contrast are the best for me too, so when I want to wear an entire outfit in light colors I put my hair up in a ponytail or something and I think it helps a lot 😊

    Hi Helen, I love all the outfits and the jewelry. I was wondering how long your discount codes will work on Monica Vinader, I am interested in one of the pieces but I cant afford it now. I would have to wait till october or november to save up, do you think the discount would still work then?

    The jumpsuit looks fantastic! Personally, with the jumpsuit and the lighter colored belt, I think it would look better if you don't put it through the eyelets. Have a great week!
