Thanks for the shoutout! Glad to see it running, and it sounds great! I cant wait to see what you do with it. If you ever need help with anything dont hesitate to ask.
Didn’t and won’t skip ahead, what you do is awesome and I might miss something during your video that might help me out on my projects now and future ones. Keep up the great work.
Not a cross kart though. Those are a lower kart. Kinda like a rally car of gokarts haha. Make it like a mini sand rail. Like a redline! Exactly like a redline!
The only recommendation I have for you is to take the engine to a motorcycle shop to get the carbs synced. The hanging high idle after letting off the throttle is one or multiple carbs are letting the engine rev high then slowly rev down. I have done this on all my bikes over the years and the throttle response becomes instant after being synced. What ever you build is going to be a monster and a lot of fun.
Congratulations ! I think that a 'tadpole' 3- wheeler would be Awesome ! 2 super fat knobbies on the front, with disc brakes, and the fattest wheel Go Power Sports can send for the rear too.Set down low in front of the motor and rip some trails. You are So talented, you'll do it up great, any way you use this.
I have a complete 1980 CB900 Custom that has the dual range trans with shaft drive. Waiting for 10 years in the shed. It's gonna be fun. When it was on the road it was clocked at 201 mph. Took helicopters to catch him. Edelbrock racing parts throughout. I'm gonna modify a 4 cylinder fuel injection setup from a small cc economy car and do away with the carbs im thinking. The longer i wait the more likely a bolt on will surface or possibly a small turbo setup. What it will power is still up in the air. Suggestions?
Me and my friends took out a 1000 ZX ninja motor and put it on a garden pulling tractor amazing video keep up the great work hope you have a great day and I can't wait to next video
Engine seems pretty decent. I'm pretty sure it'll need a fuel pump, I had an CBR600F3 back in the day and it had a fuel pump to deliver plenty of fuel when you crack it wide open all the time... It'll be interesting to see what you end up doing with it... It would be awesome to find a wrecked SxS or something that is pretty much ready to go, but just needs a good engine... Good luck man!
F-yeah!! Make something that compares or even beats RBG's Manco Deuce. Go all out and see if you can get reverse too. It's asking a lot but I know that it's a lot but I'm certain that you can do it. Keep it up.
Although I am sure you now have it sorted, the sensors actually cut the ignition unit from firing the coils. I believe all 3 wires need to go earth to trick the cdi into thinking all is well.
I would love to see you make a much longer travel buggy than your other builds. With this engine you will be able to go alot quicker that your other carts so the bigger suspension will help with handling and jumps😉😉. Im not hating on your other builds but this one is on a different skill. Whatever you do i cannot wait to see it
That is what it is all about man! The rush of when you work on it so hard and then you hear it fire up and loose your shit. You have been hooked brother.lol. Also please just buy a $40 chain hoist!
Ok I found your channel from Red Beard's channel and I was looking at one of your videos and watching your lathe. Hmm, I see welds on the slide and cross slide? What kind of lathe is that? I went back through your videos. Holy smokes, THE KID BUILDS HIS OWN LATHE FROM SCRAPE WITH A PAIR OF VISE GRIPS! I will be watching your channel for sure. Rock on!
Just an idea maybe try using gas as starting fluid since they were designed to run on gas anyways. Starter fluid isn't the best way to see if an engine is going to run
I have had a bad sensor in my water sensor that turned by big diesel engine off so I jerked the sensor out and grounded those two wires together to complete the circuit and the truck stop shutting itself off. So and senor can be connected to ignition coils as well, so check wiring system schematics too.
if you want one this I did with a engine just like it is I chain drove it to a utv front diff. that acted as my center diff and split power to a front ad rear utv diff, making a simple awd system for fun and fast off-road driving.
Can anybody tell me how to set up the fuel tank? Since the bike has no fuel pump, is it possible to have the thank anywhere, or will always need to be up? Is the vacuum line to the tank necessary? I am building a go kart and having issues with fuel reaching the carbs.
Kickstand sensor kills ignition if deployed while in gear/If you're in a gear other than neutral and the clutch lever is not engaged the clutch sensor will kill ignition. All the bikes I've owned had this ignition setup. Can you explain why your bike is different than mine?
I have a bad back so I in stalled a ATV winch in my small shop to save me any more stress to my back when I need to lift something you might want to install one in your shop don't mess your back up it's worth the money for the winch
A 2-ton chain-fall/chain hoist would do him good for lifting heavy things in the future and doesn't require any added power. Plus it's a better deal than a 2500 lb atv winch, especially if you get it from Harbor Freight. I'd eventually like to get a chain hoist and gantry crane to load and unload heavy things in the back of my truck. :)
I used a chain hoist before I used the winch and the chain kept getting snagged up on the stuff I was trying to lift that's the reason I got the winch never had any problems

I was 25.......but the big problem I had it geared to top out at 55-60 so just to get from point a-to b....you had to drive at 20 mph or so or rev the c rap out of the engine that's why I said...the top two gears are for commuting running 55-60 mph with out reving the ENGINE crazy...let me know if you want know what it was.....
For future: The most useful and simplest testing tool for 12v systems is a test lamp. Not a multimeter. The light tells you if something is really getting power or not. And all you have to do, is go through a circuit one connection at a time and see where the light no longer shines.

rather B welding, you should put that motor in a quad
I'm a motor stuff addicted so that to see your smiling face when the engine fired up... is priceless. Well done!!!
I love seeing how excited you were when it was running!! That’s so great. I remember that feeling. Get it all the time at work.
Man, that feeling when you get something running that you've been at for a while.
Great video. Problem solving at it's best. Looking forward to your future build. With your fabrication skills a cross kart would be a great project.

Vance Mac donald hell yes

Have a look at the EDGE Products plans for a awesome barracuda buggy which usually handles a 1300 Hyabussa.
Bad ass...feel your thrill....movin on and up...way cool.
Sounds sick, for sure. What ever you build, should be 4 wheel drive. You got plenty of power for that.

Street kart bit not the average shifter cart frame build one that is a beast

Some bikes will not run if head light is burned out or not hooked up, no joke
Do tell, which ones, and why ?
Magnet in the fly wheel what make it spark could be bad if u bought new coils and it did work

That be the perfect bike and engine to use for a reverse trike.
Actually all them sensors do cut spark out there for safety so you don't try to ride off with the kick stand down they don't just turn on a light
What all parts of the wiring harness do you need to start a cbr600 engine ? Details please

gonna be a sweet little engine for something fun, for sure!

Four wheel drive would get more of the power to the ground. Just thinking out loud!
How many hours did it take you to take the engine out?

Make a reverse trike. That way you can use the swingarm and wheel from the bike. Just put an off road tire on the wheel. I'm envisioning something Polaris Slingshot inspired. What ever you make it'll be fast
Get some chain falls on rollers (I beams) so you don't mess your back up mane.
Put this engine on the off road go cart that has the gs500 on it
I have a cbr600 f2 with a no start problem. I've put new rings, new head, new pistons. Still can't get to run
Keep it as a motorcycle those bikes are awesome
mine over heated oil eventually seeped out of motor what u think happened there.

Half track buggy cbr600 powered would be pretty cool

Gokart crawler with independent suspension?
It would be cool if you made something Along the lines of the Polaris sling shot with this motor. 👍🏻

It's running lean without the airbox, put it back on before you damage the engine
I will when I put it in the buggy I build for it.
