Doego Costa is the best CF of Chelsea after Drogba. He was definitely the top 3 cf if the world in 2016-2017 season. But it is apity the he had to left Stanford Bridge after that wonderful season. I appreciate Conte for the Championship he brought in that season. But push Diego Costa away is the big big wrong decision. Both Conte and Chelsea had to pay too much for this huge mistake in the next couple season. Hope Lukaku can be the right one as new Chealse CF.

It's incredible how many of his goals were first-time finishes - Diego Costa's positional awareness was just unreal. And for someone who was always being maligned as a brute, he had wonderful technique.

One of Chelsea's biggest ever mistakes is selling Diego Costa, Juan Mata and Arjen Robben. You can say De Bruyne or Salah, but they were not playing well at Chelsea at that time. Diego was an absolute beast and we still sold him. Never had a striker so perfect for the Premier League since Drogba.
In the season we won the title with Conte, he scored so many of the 1-0 goals or 2-1 goals. All match winning goals. If there was ever a goal to sum up Diego, it's that goal at 6:31 ... he had no right to win that ball, 2 Stoke City players who aren't small, he outmuscles them both and scores from a tight angle with his left foot.
The more people hated him, the more I absolutely loved him. Diego! Diego! Diego!

No doubt Diego had been wonderful during the seasons we won championship. But his form was not sustainable in the following season. Reasons like, lack of discipline, injury and arguments with management. He was never back to his prime after leaving Chelsea. That kinda proved that Chelsea made the right decision selling him, exchanging for $$$ to the next generation.
I believe the people and media hated Costa, because he was great player.. Chelsea must be the most hated team ever!
Diego was a great player but his time ran out at Chelsea he was too erratic he forced every manager to choose between his goals or the team and every manager chose correctly. i love Diego and i wish we still had him but he too much trouble than he was worth

Diego Costa is a striker that thrived in Chelsea colours. He made an instant impact and would have attained legendary status had he not had a falling out with Conte. His departure was as unbelievable as his start to life in the Premiership.

I will always remember Diego for scoring seven goals in his first four games. Immediately we knew that we were on to a winner. Admittedly his second season was rubbish but everyone was poor that year. Diego was an outright winner who just fought and gave absolutely everything on the pitch. Gutted when he left.
