The "old" and "new" Charice is different but amazing nevertheless. Charice can still belt, I just watched her Through the Fire performance. Stunning. She never lost her voice, and she puts more emotions on her songs now which I believe is an improvement.

I’ve been to one of her concerts in Manila and I remember those nights when I’d spend hours watching her performances all over the world here on UA-cam. Her vocal talent is amazing and that’s a given. But the way she sings it and the way she tells the story of her songs are just so touching and sexy and wonderful. She’s a gift to the world. I see the transition from Charice to Jake and I have to commend that he still performed although he was at the hospital early that day suffering from depression. Not only do I respect you as a singer Charice then and a much happier Jake now but as a survivor and somebody who was able to fight the insensitive bashings when you decided to be honest with yourself by coming out and freeing yourself from the years of suffering. Just because you do not approve of that life choice & think it is not natural does not mean you cannot appreciate such a great talent like hers. I’ve been to one of her concerts in Manila and I remember those nights when I’d spend hours watching her performances all over the world here on UA-cam. Her vocal talent is amazing and that’s a given. But the way she sings it and the way she tells the story of her songs are just so touching and sexy and wonderful. She’s a gift to the world. And if I will see her in the future, I will tell her that she’s loved, that I love her and that she’s special and that nothing will ever change that. Way to go Charice/Jake!!

I looooove the new Charice. She sings from her heart. Although she was amazing belting those high notes prior admitting her sexual orientation, she sounded mechanically amazing then. Now she has this heartfelt way of singing and she can still hit those high notes.
