- I prepared the syrup while Rosie took her bath. Then, we made homemade soda. I don't know how to edit, so I didn't record the first part. Cut up your fruit. Place a couple handfuls of 🍓, then sugar, then 🍓, sugar, & so on. Place a lid on it & stick the jar inside a cupboard for 24 hours. Strain thru a seive. Viola. Syrup. Pour into a glass & add sparkling water. Viola again. Soda. 😁 Add ice cubes for a crisp, refreshing taste. The blue berries should've been squished beforehand. They didn't produce as much syrup as the strawberries. Next, we're going to try watermelon 🍉 & orange 🍊! Thank you for watching our video!

Lol! Up here, most call it "pop" as well! I'm a southern gal at heart & my friends down south agree. I picked up "soda" from down yonder! 🥰 The kids will love it! I've got watermelon infusing in the cupboard tonight, so watch for the next "pop" taste test! 😋
I love strawberry soda but I have never had it made from real strawberries. I am definitely going to make this sometime this summer. I recently went to the grocery store craving strawberry soda. Normally I would get Crush or maybe Jones' soda but they didn't have anything at Walmart but Fanta. I bought some of the Fanta thinking it couldn't be too much different than Crush and boy wasn't I wrong. That was the worst strawberry soda I'd ever had. It tastes more like Pez candy than it does strawberries. I was very disappointed. My brother ended up drinking it but even he said it wasn't that good. Soda in the stores has no real fruit in it anyway so I don't know why I haven't ever made my own at home. As someone that is an adult and hasn't had my grandmas around since they passed allost 2 decades ago, it's nice to come across you two in my feed. These things you do together will someday be some of your grandchild's greatest memories and you went the extra mile and documented these special times so someday when you are gone she can look back on the videos. I really wish I had videos of my grandmother's and the things we did together. Thankfully at 38, my memories are still very vivid. I just see much more than a video about strawberry soda here. What you two have is special.

I went to a ICP concert when I was 14 and they sprayed Diet Faygo out of firehoses. I was drenched in it!! You would think it would make you sticky but it doesn't. I had so much fun at that concert!!
