We had a Bean and Grain seed cleaning Whse Business for many years and would store oat seed on the ground in the summer every year maybe a 1000 ton that would not fit in our elevator wore out a few shovels
How did you go with the rain ? The grainvacs are good , do take a bit of power to run them though but for the job you had I reckon would have saved a lot of hard work.
A job where a grain vac would be able to do wonders, to bad they don't come cheap

should turn the auger around and pull tarp up over the top of the auger to get a peak
A bit like cleaning up a bunker.
Just.t put a few.w large bales make peak with hay
