    Calling for secession is not calling for civil war, those who wants to make a war out of it should be the ones to be rebuked, Nigeria is not one and trying to keep it one under the barbaric hegemony of the Fulani with the threat of war will not hold water.

    I think Ojukwu was saying let the Biafrans go without another war ... it doesn’t mean he wanted Biafrans for the sake of war to remain in Nigeria. In one of his videos he said even if he’s to old to fight for Biafra it doesn’t mean someone else shouldn’t. In summary he meant give them Biafra peacefully or face another war which might be disastrous.

      Are Nigerians never tired of living this way. With this hypocrisy and cowardice how are we going to get out of this mess. It baffles me that any right thinking person will be against Kanu and Igboho for calling for Biafra and Oduduwa. The good news is that what you are scared of is already at your door step waiting to consume you. Have you ever asked yourself why the Fulanis have taken over all govt Parastatal, I am not expecting any reasonable answer from you because as long as you can have your one square meal there is no cause for alarm.

    If UAR🇳🇬 had made significant progress post war, nobody would have been talking about separation. The reason why no one is talking about separation in Rwanda is because they have done absolutely wonderful for themselves since the Tutsi/Hutu conflict. The reason why African Americans have not raised the idea of having a country to themselves despite the racial profiling by the police is because the country still works very well for all. At least, in terms of the basic needs of man.

      No, there's no regrets in Ojukwu's words. He said he proudly led the first one. Yes because it was just the same as we are in now. But he said we didn't learn from it so fighting a 2nd one is not necessary. Here he was refering to the Igbos who didn't persevere to stay and develop Igboland but succumbed to the pressure of the access denied Nigeria inflicted again to them after the war that didn't correct the reason for that war. What do I mean by access denied, no seaport, no International airport, all indeginous industries of the Igbos closed, no government presence in the East, in fact, evonomic strangulation is norm, quota system for weak brains and so many attrocities again the igbo . So every generation will fight their war, people cannot be slaves in their own land.

    • @keithurbanrz4ni_
      @keithurbanrz4ni_ 3 роки тому

      @@ng1471 I don't think his regrets comes from the lack of perseverance from the surviving Igbos as you said. Ojukwu never stated his exact regrets, if he gave specifics, I haven't come across any archive referencing them; which makes those regrets a mystery. Now, he said he proudly led the first war because of the marginalization of the Igbos which has continued till this day. If he were alive today, he will most probably also proudly lead a second. This brings me to my point, his regrets if I should guess would be mostly from the before and during effects of the war. The many innocent civilians victimized, of which he could have prevented but he let his rage against the Nigerian state get the best of him. Failing to make allies, going to war without a clear plan, recruiting child soldiers, to mention but a few... These are all regrets. But who's to speak for the dead. You feel me?! The statement he gave in the interview saying a second civil war would be a mistake was said at the heat of the moment. And that moment was filled with regrets. Every other person in his position would probably give that exact same statement.

    Yes he said 2nd war is not necessary that we should have learned from the 1st one. This lessons should not be one sided, if those from the Biafra side is doing everything possible to put behind them whatever happened during the war will it not be wise that those from the Nigeria side accept them and treat them equally.

    In Protecting the colonial creation Nigeria, we should all desist from blaming only the Biafrans side while it was Nigeria that started the war in the first place by invading Biafraland. War was forced on Biafrans and not the other way round. I believe if we can continue to make some people second class and third class citizens another war is necessary for full human divinity to be achieved. Nigeria is calling for war not Biafrans. Treat everyone as your would like to be treated.

I went for school but I wasn't taught in school about the civil war, in everything that happens in life there are always advantages to it and disadvantage also and also I watched documentary of some successful igbo men whose businesses where successful in Lagos then but before the war they went back to their home town and after they return, they lost everything they have labored for and they where never compensated by they government, now imagine someone who lost is family and also lost is business and at the end of the war you said No victory No vanquished... for generations to date the igbos have been marginalized in this same country and yet you say we are one Nigeria. Now listen, Nigeria as a country don't only owe Biafra a freedom but also owe them a huge compensation for the lost of lives and properties and some day they are going to pay for it all.

    The answer to Obasanjo's question is the North. The Fulani-led Nigeria is the problem!
    Secondly, we miss the greater import of Ojukwu's statement. What Ojukwu was reminding us was to be mindful and avoid repeating the same blunders that led to Nigeria/Biafra war. But if the same conditions persist, resorting to war will become inevitable. So, Ojukwu was not necessarily against the use of war to defend yourself if it is the last resort.

    How can someone who claims to be educated see delf determination as a call for war? I've come to realize that no matter who you are, educated or not, you will begin to sound foolish the moment you decide to champion one Nigeria in its current state. It's just like defending something that's completely indefensible. Nigeria was forcefully amalgamated in 1914 by a white man without the consent of the indigenous people and that alone is a faulty foundation. Over the years, millions of innocent Biafrans have been massacred with impunity to keep Nigeria one, and even as we speak now, your terrorist army is in Biafra land killing innocent youths and no media is talking about it. This is the same country that is championing unity. What an irony! The Nigerian problem is spiritual because millions of innocent Biafrans they massacred in order to keep it one are craving for justice and there will never be peace until they let us go. All of you should prepare for the worst because this is not the 1967 - 1970 civil war. This time around everyone will suffer, not only the Igbos.
