Kostas - Great video! Thank you for documenting your journey and sharing it with us. One thing I very much appreciate is how your collection is a reflection of your personality. You’re not afraid to go big and bold! Your apprenticeship/time of study in Florence sounds really exciting! What a wonderful city to learn the art and craft of fine shoemaking. Looking forward to more videos when your time and bandwidth allow. Once again, thanks for sharing your insight and expertise. Be well and stay safe! Steve
Thanks for watching Steve and for the kind words! I think it’s provably true, you can see it in the way I dress too, it’s either classic or bold. It’s always nice to have a little fun too!
Wow, thank you so much for sharing. I'm just starting my shoe journey, but you help guide me along the way on what to look for in a quality shoe. Also, big respect to redoing the video a second time. We appreciate it. Cheers!
Love the collection! Glad to hear that you are a Bond fan too, I think the C&J connection perfectly suits the character. Solid, dependable, classic, and will stand up to hard duty. Good luck with your move! Living in Italy is quite the Bond lifestyle as well!
Hey there, finally got around to watching this over the weekend - excellent video! So awesome that you did this and shared with us - thank you! My faves (in order) 1) the Meccariellos, 2) The Bemers 3) the Vilaltas 4) The Vass, 5) the Scafora boots I see you've come to like your yeossals more and more since your review video (not that you didn't like them before, just seems more so after wearing more)... As I have bought about six pairs of shoes/boots from you, you already know about 1/4 of my collection! :) and I look forward to going into next-level purchases... Good luck with everything and keep us posted on your developments!
Thanks for watching! The vilalta and the Yeossal are my recent favorites. The latter because it just fits me so good. As for the collection, slow and steady!
My faves are the Scarfora boots and the Vilalta shoes. I share the same sentiment with my collection. Keep a few of the lower cost shoes as I continue to add the higher end stuff. I just wish you had 50% MTO upfront charge so I could get those boots! 😭 Anyway, I'm sure you will be able to put together some awesome content as you move to one of the shoe meccas and start your next chapter. Thanks as always Kostas!
Awesome collection kostas. After seeing your Jodhpur I decided to wear my for a walk around the block. Not as bold and special as the green but I love it.
Hi Steve! Thank you for watching sir! Glad you enjoy. I’m a little slower with videos now as I am relocating to Italy but we should be back at full swing next month!
I'd really enjoy watching as you learn the new craft from a beginner's point of view. Plus, all the sights of region of Italy that you'll be in. Thanks.
When one has so many shoes, it’s a good chance to try something unique!!! I got a video on those if you want to hear more about them! Thanks for watching!
@@MisiuAcademy well, the thing is that I've got them each in the ballpark of 110 USD per piece (they're all goodyears, but I've haggled hard). Can't really complain at that price point. I have a pair of oxblood lace up boots,, a cognac split toe, and a brown museum penny loafer from them.
If you got them at that price there’s nothing to complain indeed. But for the full retail price that was about $300 usd plus any possible import taxes and duties I believe you could do better!
Nice collection indeed. The Mecariello's and Scafora are my favorite out of the lot. Oh and the Yeossal split-toes as well. I'm having a hard time finding anything close to them "on a budget". Which products are you using to take care of your swede shoes?
@@MisiuAcademy Awesome! I'm personally fascinated by high quality shoe making and Italy as well. I will be visiting Florence soon. Perhaps I can combine these two interests and find some useful information in your blogs, grazie mille ;)
I was at the Stefano Bemer store in Florence first week of May and placed an order for shoes and Aldo suits. While I was waiting for Tommaso to arrive, there was a nice and friendly gentleman that was busy crafting shoes in the middle of the showroom and stated a conversation with me and expressed his love and passion for the brand. By any chance was it you?
You are very welcome! Are you by any chance Sean? I think I remember your name now that I saw your profile picture! Thank you so much and I hope to show you my work in the future! I generally have experience with most brands in the shoe industry (as a retailer and shoe enthusiast myself) so I am available for any questions anytime and would love to just connect with you! If you wish you can email me anytime at kostas.Mandilaris@gmail.com Have a great day!
I liked the Crockett & Jones Highbury best! Seems like you’ve covered all of your bases and can now only buy the highest end shoes infrequently when you need to. As you say you have shoes for life. Maybe some Cordovan shoes for some further durability.
I did have cordovan shoes but sold them! Eventually I will get something again, though my focus is on certain exotics first! And you are spot on the highbury! Good shoes! I have a review video in the channel as well.
Saw your Instagram post and thought wow. A great selection. I currently only have 4 decent pairs of shoes and no decent boots. This needs to be corrected.
Thanks for watching Alex! It takes time to collect everything! This has been 3 years in the making! As far as boots go, I do have some great ones in the shop! Feel free to reach out anytime!
Kostas, you wrote earlier that you have size 7UK in Carmina Rain, in TLB Picasso. And now size 8UK. Can you write what is your foot length and what is the girth in the bundles of your fingers?
I was curious, which belts would you go for if you were very value conscious? There's a lot of cheap belts by Meermin in leathers I really like, including Museum Calf, but I heard they're bad. Do I have to spend £100 for a quality belt?
It depends how do you define sleek? For me sleek is aggressive soft square lasts. I would buy Yeossal or Antonio Meccariello Aeris for the top price and Carlos santos or Septieme Largeur for the 300-400$. It depends what aesthetics you like.
@@MisiuAcademy Thank you for your answer. I define sleek in a very aggressive last, this means very narrow in the toe area, almost pointy, elongated last. Low instep and narrwo waist.

I have 3 Cie shoes. except for the soles which are a little soft, they are all great!
Their other ranges can be different, but the one I had wasn’t as good as I hoped. The resale value was also non-existent

Hello, I used to wear wrong sizes many years ago, too tight and I was also much slimmer. My sizes now on those shoes is UK 8 for both brands.
what your opinion about artioli shoes maker ? thanks.

I don’t think belts have to be as expensive and they don’t go through the same stress shoes do. I think Meermin would be fine in that regard.
