I had a good chat with Tom Grossi when he was in London. I told him what matters most about the Jags this season is that the O-Line performs. If they do, and they stay healthy, the Jags will be a very tough team to beat. If they flop though … it will be a tough year.
Did you see the run blocking of the starters (not even Chris Jones) I am afraid that making a switch on the center position is not good enough, especially in the run game.
Maybe its just me but when the 1's were on the field the interior offensive line looked dreadful. JAX wasn't able to move the ball on the ground until the backups came in.
@@Jacob.Ponce01 it means much because last season the jax almost never played all starters and guess what... 31 team in the NFL didn't play all the starters all season long. You can't bet on every one staying healthy. Yesterday the jax played all the starters in the training against the bucs and guess what every one was saying: Vitha Vea was eating the jax o-line appart. And most passes TLaw completed would have been sacks in a real game, where the players won't hold back to prevent a QB hit.
I was not a Press Taylor fan, especially after firing the DC but keeping him. But i saw an Podcast where they talked about him and to be fair he didn't have a lot of options in the play calling because the O-line run blocked so terrible that running the ball was almost impossible and passing vertically was often also not possible (Trevor Lawrence had to throw the ball after 2.5 seconds otherwise it a sack) so the play calling for passing play was also limited in short routes and horizontal plays (lot of screen plays) You can draw the best run scheme but when your running back is getting touched 2 yards behind the line because nobody is able to hold a block scheme doesn't help you a lot.

(UCF Jaguars stream on minute 25) It kinda makes sense to call short passes and screens if all other plays are unable to develop and TLaw is getting hit after 2.5 seconds.
One of the questions I have is where is Agnew? I personally haven't seen any news about him either staying or being traded. So I'm just wondering if he's still with the team or not.
they won a preseason game against the defending super bowl champs. they are regarded to have ine of the best depth charts in the league. its a good win for jags fans

13-4 this year. Calling it. They aren't making it to the Superbowl though. Maybe Divisional round at worst or afc championship round at best.
If we had a good O-line then we have a good chance because defense would get better rest but lets see if the O-line can get it together
