Grand Theft Auto is by far one of the most garbage, and overrated gaming franchises out there. In the many years these games have been around Rockstar was only able to produce one good GTA game, and that is san andreas. The other GTA games are trash, and only losers enjoy them. I paid the 60 dollars because I thought I was going to get proper enhancements, but I was an idiot to think that actual effort would be put into these games. Major disappointment. Under any circumstances, do not buy this game. Just get the originals.

I hate how many people just mindlessly defend it and stamp you off as an asswhipe that doesn’t have a valid point. They fucked over modders and removed the original games…. why? And most of the arguments are always tied to the artistic interpretation and it’s intention to look cartoonish which is bs. The original games didn’t look that cartoonish the “definite version” looks they plasti-dipped the entire fucking game. It’s just easier to make the characters look like plastic then to actually give a damn I suppose. This game is literally the normal games mixed in with a bunch of texture altering and quality of life mods. It’s not just sad to see that people waste 60$ on a botched enhanced version of a good trilogy but that they’re also defending it like Rockstar is a holy saint or something. Smh I probably wrote to much but I’m just really mad and disappointed in Rockstar for fucking up again and people defending them.

Grand Theft Auto: The 3D Trilogy - The Definitive Edition is garbage. It's a disgrace to Grand Theft Auto.
I’ve played a few hours of GTA SA the “definitive edition” and honestly it’s a letdown to say the least. Don’t get me wrong the game is fun but it doesn’t live up to the hype. I played all these games back on the PS2 so it feels just like those games did but with a new coat of paint. That doesn’t sound bad but hearing rockstar talk about how they are adding in these “quality of life improvements” and “updated controls” is nothing more than them writing with invisible ink. What you get is a better waypoint system, driving with triggers, graphical overhaul, and checkpoints between missions. The driving is the exact same as it was back on PS2 handling wise so cars won’t preform like they did on GTA 5 and aiming with a gun is the same also. There is no updated aiming like what you have in gta 5, you have “aim assist” which is nothing more than lock on mode with no free aim, “free aim” which speaks for itself, and “classic mode” which is just like aim assist. You can’t hold the left trigger down half way and go into free aim like you could in gta 4 and onwards. Combat is also just as clunky. Rockstar games has rushed this game out the door because they know their fans want “new” gta content. Also, there is stuttering and FPS spikes like crazy on fidelity mode so I’d play on performance mode if I was you, It’s not as bad and I’m playing on a PS5. I do think the game is fun but only because of nostalgic purposes. If you started out playing GTA 4 or 5 and never played the titles on PS2/Xbox then chances are you aren’t gonna enjoy these games. Here’s an example I found on them rushing this game. When you first see the title of GTA SA and it begins showing the developers names and you see different shots of the cities like San Fierro, Los Santos and the country side it’s the ps2 version of the game being shown. They didn’t even update the opening sequence to show off their work with the new graphics. It’s little I know but we are talking about rockstar games, the same creators of RDR1 and 2, L.A Noire, Max Payne. They are known for their polish and extreme detail in games and this doesn’t feel like a fully polished game. I’ve seen a decent amount of pop in and had graphical issues with the rain to point out a few issues. The A.I is also just as dumb as the older titles so on missions where they do all the aiming your bound to their “skill.” All three GTA games share GTA SA menu sounds to prove my point more (talking from others speaking on that matter.) Now while I’ve only played SA so far I can say the music is still mostly intact, they didn’t complete butcher it like they did with GTA 4 so that’s a plus and like I said it’s not a bad game and I’m not trying to bash this trilogy but if your going to say how your adding quality of life and having aiming and driving similar to gta 5 and then release the same controls the game had back on ps2 I’m gonna call you out for it. Anyways I do still enjoy the game (only because of nostalgia) but like I said if you’ve never played these games before and you’ve only played GTA 4 and 5 then I highly doubt your gonna enjoy these titles.

I really have a hard time wondering wth u people thought this game would be, if this was a remake I could see these concerns but it's literally just a remaster with updated controls as far as shooting and driving, meaning r2 to shoot or drive, ion know if yall noticed but free aim shooting didn't work too well on ps2 and before thats why games like call of duty didn't get super popular until ps3, the base of it is still a ps2 game

It's horrible. Used to be legend but seeing LS port and in the background the forest area and Mt. Chilliad is dissapointing and not to mention they put a lawsuit against modders that were helping the GTA community just to earn more cash.

i thought they're going to make GTA III/VC/SA look like GTA 5 graphics-wise, but no they just added a realistic shaders/lightings and tweaked some stuff.

I was expecting better movement/combat animation and car physics and half bar regen from gta5, the games were very difficult back in the day mostly because of the clunky controls and they have done nothing to improve this whatsoever.
GTA3 was always my fav and that should be great in HD/60fps, still in two minds about refunding it or not, its not released on PC yet until 15:00 GMT and I have until then to decide.

This game was a fat disappointment. I pirated it first and I don't care to admit that I did because I knew something was off about this. I tried 5 minutes of each one, and no thank you, not worth 20 dollars, let alone 60. It was about to be the first game I've bought in 4 years. I doubt at this point I'll ever buy another new game.

This gta trilogy so called definitive edition is disappointing the graphics and lightning are good but In the San Andreas version I miss the fog you get and the orange hue and its dissapointing to see los santos from San fierro to and mount chilliad and las venturas from the countryside the biggest dissapointment was the driving physics and combat physics in all 3 games rockstar promised the driving and combat would get a update but no they lied its sad to see this from developers who made masterpieces from rdr1 la noire, rdr2, and gta 4 all polished games this defenitive of the older gtas has fps issues and flickering that's what we got graphics that look good but like a free to play game and fps issues and flickering I'm glad I'm playing only gta sa defenitive edition on game pass I'm glad i didn't spend £55 on the trilogy and what's infuriating is that the original versions of the 3 games has been removed from the online stores which the original trilogies had more songs I'm skeptical that when gta 6 comes out in the future I'm worried it I'll be a buggy mess and it I'll have the same engine as gta v

That being said, I'd never buy this full price either. I feel like 10€ per remaster would be adequate. Even 15€ is kinda stretching it, especially for GTA 3. I'd like to play VC the most though.

I love the GTA games. I will NOT be buying this though. I have San Andreas on the PS2,PS3 and PC.
I won't even play the PS3 or PC versions anymore since they took away music tracks.
That is the problem with this version as well. The taking away of music. Christ Rockstar, you have enough money thanks to GTA Online (which I could care less about I never play it at all) you could easily pay for those licenses again and still make money back. Stop being cheapos.

I never buy this game. I saw some videos on UA-cam and those videos showed that there were many annoying bugs and glitches. The map in GTA San Andreas in Trilogy were way smaller then the original map in the original GTA San Andreas.
