That's a tough one guys because there are soo many changes in this tune. I just try to keep the strumming lite and keep it simple. Play with it a little and make it your own and it will come. I don't like my students to focus too much on strum patterns. I like you to improvise a little as it will help in your learning. The way I strum it is a simple lite up and down motion throughout every chord, but as I said try and make it your own a little. Good luck and thanx for tuning in

+LOUIE SALINAS It's a 2004 Gibson songwriter deluxe, it's definately one of my faves. It's got a nice rich sound. It's been modified a bit. It has An Ibeam dual pick up in it, and sound like a dream plugged in but it is not for these vids and still sounds great. They ain't cheap, Hope this helps
The song isn't in C, it's in C#. In C, it just sounds like a country song to me. Sharp gives it the melodramatic feel. I'm not sure why all the tabs and videos are putting it in C other than to make it easy. If you are going to do this, put a capo on the 1. Also, there are several minor chords you are playing major.

I hope you take this in the spirit given, which is not meant to be offensive; My assertion is that by "stripping it down" you have torn the guts out of this great tune. The loss of the F and F to G....and the E sus to E to say nothing of the important D to Dm change...it's jarring. And these are not difficult chords. More importantly; why appeal to the "E-Z guitar school? I know you know the song, why not give the basic, novice player a wee bit of a challenge? You would be doing them a great service this way. I thank you.
