Listened to this song first in 1991. I was in first year of college and pestered my father so much that he agreed to buy a stereo system - It cost more that 8000 Rs ( A very big amount those days!!, much much more than my fathers salary) that time, 2 huge boxes and the stereo with equaliser. This song was the first one to be played in that! and 30 years later still listening to it. The speaker size has reduced. But the vibes from the song has developed even stronger after so many years!! Immortal RDB!

Hats of that imagination where the musician wants to give such feeling to listener that he/she is somewhere in mountain with forest and raining and small waterfalls, water is flowing and the feeling human being in that beautiful environment, his/ her feeling in that environment. Onboard O/o Docefjord, was serving as 3rd Engineer, in '95 . My Chief Engineers wife recommended "Ijaazat" when she came to know I was a Rekha fan. For my full contract of 08 months, these songs were the only ones I played in my cabin. Years rolled on, he shifted to shore, and so did me. Lost contact but got back in touch after around 24 yrs. In 2019, Nov was invited for dinner at their house in Houston. When I rang the front bell, I could hear the song put on.!!!! Could not help but the eyes misted up.
