yea cause i knew this you know basketball is a more tom boy and masculine sport thats why theres alot of lesbians and tom boys its physical and i knew whenever the first womens player could pull the male audience the league would rise clarks a bigger star then anyone in basketball male or female popularity wise currently and itll continue to grow under her if they let it
I'm right there with you David....72. Watched men's basketball since the 60's, never cared about women's basketball until I saw Caitlin play, everything else is boring.
It satisfies my soul when Caitlin takes time to sign autographs for the young girls and boys mainly in the 10-12 age group. I smile when I see some young girls actually start crying from joy after getting an autograph from Caitlin. It must get tiring at times for her although I dont think she ever tires of signing for the younger crowd,, for the older crowd not so much.
Completely agree. I'm thankful for you AR, for giving CC her flowers and exposing the sins of those who wrongfully disrespect her. She not perfect and she know it, but her heart, mind and soul are heavenly good.
Ma'am, you just made a 56 yr old man tear up hearing your reasons to be thankful for Caitlin Clark. I'm thankful to her parents for raising an incredible daughter, sports aside. Her bros for not taking it easy on her and their unquestionable support. I'm also thankful to Little Miss From the Logo for the awakening of watching The W. So many talented women, too many to name. AR, I'm thankful for you as well! You're the first person I look for in my notifications when I get home from work. You are exactly what the sign on the wall behind you says. HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you and everyone!
I agree with everything you said. The WNBA has dropped the ball, too many times, they should all be fired, they don't deserve Caitlin Clark, they can't even spell her name correctly, that more than once, getting her stats wrong more than once, putting her down everytime she broke a record, this young lady is a class act, taking the high road, where I would have told them in front of the world where they could stick the WNBA.
I’m Thankful that there are still athletes out there that are not only generational players but exceptional humans. Our world is in a negative spiral but Caitlin Clark is making a difference toward bring us back to positivity. No matter how badly CC was treated on the court, she let her skills in basketball do the talking. Off the court, Caitlin supports women’s sports, charities and trying to help people especially children to follow their dreams. The WNBA is changing, and there are many new players coming in the draft that will help support for a better professional WNBA. I think we as fans need to be more positive and kind to one another. We all have opinions but in the end it’s about how much you can give back to the things you love. 🌺🩷
This is so true. Great commentary. Adrienne, I’d like to add one more thing that the WNBA should be thankful for. This is something that, given whom they’ve shown themselves to be, would be much more difficult for the league to stomach and/or be thankful for, but I submit it nonetheless. The WNBA should be thankful to Caitlin Clark for exposing their flaws. In order for an entity to change and grow, one needs to know their weaknesses. CC did not consciously attempt to expose the undesirable traits within the league, but she has done it anyway, and this gives the league a chance to correct them.
Well done, Adrienne you said that so well redeeming the reputation of CaitlinClark and adding a little bit lustre to the ungrateful WNBA people who need a real wakeup call to realise the exponential benefit that this young woman has brought to basketball and will continue to do. Caitlin had maturity, poise, and intelligence to know how to play this game to her benefit and well being as well as lifting those around her.
I’m Australian I have never watched NBA basketball let alone the WMBA but after seeing CC I have started watching the WMBA and enjoying it CC is my reason for watching but I’m starting to appreciate all of the talented women in the league, but being from out side looking in you can see the racist aspects of some of the woman in the game WMBA should be ashamed of themselves for the way they treat there super star of the game and should be embarrassed to not be able to make a profit from such a great game
I'm 45 female and just started watching the WNBA this past season( 2023-2024) because of Caitlin Clark and I also watch South Carolina Gamecocks play Iowa Hawkeyes play in the 2024 National title game and both were amazing. I was 16 when the WNBA debut in1996 but I am also a long time NBA fan too and when the WNBA started so did the Toronto Raptors in 1995 so my attention was on the NBA,. But now I have included the WNBA now because of Caitlin Clark and I am hoping the Fever win a championship. I am trying to support the WNBA because they need the support the most from women.
Caitlin Clark will be the Face Of Sports according to Money Mike's Syndicated Podcast. He believes Nike is preparing right now to make this a reality. I find this plausible, because of her appearances in golf tourneys, race car promotions, she's at NFL games w/ties to travis kelsey, NBA courting her to play in the 3pt contest, and acquisition of a soccer team. It all makes sense.
I saw Money Mike's podcast on this too. I found his analysis very interesting. I guess we'll see how closely his analysis hit the mark. A tennis pro, Caroline Dolehide, said in an interview that she'd love to team up with Caitlin in a doubles match. I have no idea whether Caitlin knows enough about tennis to give this any consideration, but it shows how athletes in other sports would love her to shine her light on their sport.
Let's not forget how excited everybody got when Lexie Hull posted video of Caitlin calling a major league baseball game just for fun. It wouldn't surprise me if she gets hired to call a couple of games next year.
Add me to the list of people who never followed the WNBA until Caitlin Clark made me a fan! I even watch and rewatch her college games! Yes, I now know, talk and follow the other players; even players on other teams! I'm from the west coast and should be a fan of the Sparks or the Storm but nope, I have Indiana Fever!!
And even with all that, they STILL would be happy to see her gone -- even if the league ended up back in the basement. That's how strong their racism is toward her. The elephant in the room.
Thank you so much for your "6 reasons" it so right on the mark! I always look forward to seeing you in my notifications each day. I'm a believer and your show always has wisdom from that perspective. I wanted you to know that CC Is the reason I started watching the WNBA. The first time I saw Caitlin was on the sports segment of my local news broadcast. It was about the college play offs and a clip of Iowa was on and it showed Caitlin hitting one of her almost half court shots and I was blown away! They implied it was pretty much common place for her. I said to myself wow I got to follow her! So when the WNBA season started I figured out what team she was on and started following her and checked out the stats of others in the league. Then the behavior of the other women toward her and almost quit watching. Then after a few more of her games I decided not to. Anyway, long story shorter I'm hooked on her. She is unbelievable. Her accomplishments are incredible. Golf, now Soccer, her kindness, especially to the little ones just blows me away. I pray for her every day that god would bless her and watch over and protect her. Any may God richly bless you 😊
🎉 For CC , Angel, NC , Stewie, Asia and all the other women for an entertaining season. CC and Angel brought me in because I have Clarks and Reese's on my family tree😮. They just might be distant cousins. I claim them both and look forward to their WNBA sophomore year.
I already commented, however, I would like to add another reason the W should be thankful for our girl CC. W, be thankful you have one of the most bullied, nay, assaulted, insulted, hated on players in any sport I've ever seen. That is also the most tongue biting, forgiving, grace having, stand-up athlete/person/friend/teammate/humanitarian I've seen in, maybe my life. W, be thankful Caitlin Clark is letting you, be part of her life!
I am a 75 year old woman who originally started watching the WNBA about five years ago because of Sue Bird and the Seattle Storm. Then I started watching Catlin Clark and the Fever. The only time I don't route for the Fever is when they are playing The Storm.
The 7th reason the WNBA should be thankful for Caitlin Clark: She hasn't yet written a tell-all book about all the bs she's had to put up with, all the hard fouls she's had to swallow or the corruption this this pathetic league.
One thing you missed that is huge is Catlin’s biggest fan group is young girls. She still refers to herself as a girl and many times acts young, so young girls really relate. She will foster a generation of female athletes and sports fans. Look how many children showed up at The Annika! Golf has always struggled to get kids involved since they need parents to play and pay. She brought more children to the course than show up for The Masters! The WNBA should be using her to pull in kids who have to bring parents with them.
Instead of hamburger, the W has become steak because of CC. Quality is not learned, you're either born with it or not. CC has quality and the W has integrated her quality/class and capitalized on CC'S shine.
I played b ball in high school and college. I kept stats in the early days of Stanford women's b ball, so I followed Stanford. I have come to rely on Adrienne's coverage as a trustworthy reference for what is worth paying attention to regarding the WNBA, the Fever and their players and coaches. I no longer am baited into wasting time and energy clicking on the UA-cam videos with sensational titles that come up daily. If I happen to notice a shocking or in some way a sensational title, I do not click on the video or channel, at least not before I go to Adrienne's video library to see if she addressed the topic. I know that if there is any merit to a topic then it will be addressed at some point by Adrienne--and her way of covering a subject is well worth the wait.
Just a thought, why don't you write a book on caitlin clark and her journey and the caitlin affect or effect don't know which is correct but girrrrrrrrrl go for it. 👍
Caitlin and all of us are free marketing for the league and it hasn’t cost them one penny. If you ask me that’s genius marketing just look at how many times you said WNBA over the past year. And me too.
The WNBA commissioner should take pointers from Caitlin Clark on how to represent this league. Caitlin has more poise, more basketball IQ and more savvy. Truthfully. I think the league needs a new commissioner.
If only CC wasn't on the wrong team (she was drafted Geno) and was and built for this league, was strong enough to handle the physicality and quick enough to escape the physicality. If only there weren't actual betting odds that she would finish third or fourth for MVP of the WNBA and hadn’t ACTUALLY finished 4th in the final voting. If only her fans weren't so disrespectful and so unknowledgeable and so stupid that it gave women’s basketball a bad name. If only the kid (a baby goat) wasn't set up for failure right from the beginning .... If only some people knew when to stop talking....
Past 60 and excited unfortunately she goes overseas she will face some of the same and possibly different circumstances. If the W goes the same as the NBA I will stop watching that too.
The WNBA has this coming season to clean it up. From the players to the coaches to the managers to the refs… one year is all they have to change the cheesy petty cheating culture to one of good sportsmanship . If it’s as awful as last year… fans will walk out forever. They don’t want to watch CC get hurt. They don’t want the eye poke videos. Gosh the cattiness is off the charts. One year that’s all they’ve got.
Have you seen the girls and young women in Africa (I can't recall the country) who are being tended to as war victims - i dont think i have to describe what is done to girls when they are surrounded by war. They show them in a room where there is a tv. A channel showing CC playing in a game thrilled them. They wanted to be like Caitlin. They put a round wire hoop on the top of a tall stake in the ground. They put the names and numbers on t-shirts and ran around headed to the hoop. I think they had someone teaching them how to play but they were full of joy and laughter nust doing what they were doing. The clark effect went to a small safe haven in Africa.
The organization should be thankful that their are more eyeballs on the Wnba than the NBA Lol! They should be thankful that their are more media channels created to talk about the WNBA and making a lot money I might add Lol! They should be thankful that the ratings are off the charts for every team! They she should thank for that she is unbothered Lol and lastly they should be thankful because of her, charter flights!
The “basketball edition” that’s 95% Caitlin Clark content. A lot of these so called WNBA and basketball UA-cam channels need to be thanking Caitlin Clark for making them money. Because without her name in title their views would be in the toilet bowl.
Did you get a good look at the person who held the gun to your head and forced you to come here and watch this show? Maybe you should start your own channel then you can talk about whoever you want to....no one would watch though.
Stop Dishonoring Pat Summitt, Tennessee and Orange. She's from Clarksville TN. She won 18 NCAA titles. Maybe Catlin needs to be grateful for the Volunteers State.
I just passed out, but someone revived me. Knowing what a huge Coach Summitt fan I was (and, frankly, always will be), the world is scratching their heads at your comment--AND they don't know what you're talking about in reference to this video and Coach Summitt--someone I respect so much, as did Chamique Holdslaw, that I never even refer to her by just her first name. Moving on. I realize someone people just have to stretch to find something to criticize.
The WNBA commissioner should take pointers from Caitlin Clark on how to represent this league. Caitlin has more poise, more basketball IQ and more savvy. Truthfully. I think the league needs a new commissioner.
I’m one of those 70+ guys that never watched WNBA basketball. Now I’m a top fan of CC and Indiana Fever.♥️

Me too. 😃👍🏻

AND WHEN SHE DECLINED UNRIVALED- MY HEART INSTANTLY WARMED.
Completely agree. I'm thankful for you AR, for giving CC her flowers and exposing the sins of those who wrongfully disrespect her.
She not perfect and she know it, but her heart, mind and soul are heavenly good.
Vindictive attempts to purposely try to really hurt her were a point of pride and grandiose self righteousness! Who can stand that….
You had me until you mentioned Angel, she's irrelevant.
Ma'am, you just made a 56 yr old man tear up hearing your reasons to be thankful for Caitlin Clark. I'm thankful to her parents for raising an incredible daughter, sports aside. The W needs Adrienne Ross as commissioner … your insights are spot on !!!
I do much better work on the outside! LOL! Thank you, though. 😊
This is so true. Great commentary.

Adrienne you are absolutely correct. Caitlin was there meal ticket that's all they care about 🤔🤔
When she broke those records we also got to see and sometimes meet the person from the past. Sometimes we saw film of them playing

True! Some got out of Dodge, so they should definitely be thankful for those who stayed.
Maybe the commissioner can wish Caitlin Clark and her team a Merry Christmas by cell phone
I see what you did there! 💯
"Many anticipated (geno)....."

Another great commentary! I always look forward to seeing your take on things. Thank you for your channel!
Like always very well said. I wonder if we could this to Cathy Engelbert. She could learn a lot, wellll maybe.
You always have great topics! :)
Caitlin has reignited my interest in Basketball.
ALL OF THIS IS :
“THE CAITLIN CLARK EFFECT”

On Point AR!!!!! How embarrassing that the NBA shows more love to CC than the “W” does. #SMH
The Reason for Ungratefulness: An attitude of entitlement.
I did not understand that correctly ? CC entitled ? You must have meant something else …
Let's hope Coach White will take up for her from the jump.....set the year off
Im thankful for you! Happ Thanksgiving!
One thing you missed that is huge is Catlin’s biggest fan group is young girls. She still refers to herself as a girl and many times acts young, so young girls really relate. She is 100% the best thing to ever happen to women's basketball and sports. This will not happen again.

Consider the possibility of the average IQ of the WNBA being relatively low. It would make sense, then, that the immature reactions of the players, coaches, et al. could be expected. It's all they got.
Why would think that the average IQ of a WNBA player is low?
What are you basing it on?
I came back to watch CC - I stopped in 2009 when the Monarches were disband.

The Commissioner needs to be fired, obviously incompetent
Malicious intent is disguised as incompetence
Well said

But they are not thankful, and I believe the only one to blame is the commissioner.
Wnba is just too woke
Physicality or brutality??
Brutality

I just passed out, but someone revived me. Knowing what a huge Coach Summitt fan I was (and, frankly, always will be), the world is scratching their heads at your comment--AND they don't know what you're talking about in reference to this video and Coach Summitt--someone I respect so much, as did Chamique Holdslaw, that I never even refer to her by just her first name. Moving on. I realize someone people just have to stretch to find something to criticize.
@theadriennerossshow She IS! the Orange of the WNBA. She won 18 NCAA titles and fought for Maya Moore
You picked on the wrong woman now. Know your opponent before you throw the first jab.
@Willard-l7t I'm not throwing no one under the bus. Don't throw Unrivaled under the Bus. That means you're throwing Jessie Owens under the bus.
@@MsNerdsRevenge What are you even talking about? Are you off the meds? And where do you come up with Summit winning 18 NCAA championships?
Hello Ms Adrienne 🫶 can't wait to see this. Thank you 🎉❤
The WNBA commissioner should take pointers from Caitlin Clark on how to represent this league. Caitlin has more poise, more basketball IQ and more savvy. Truthfully. I think the league needs a new commissioner.
I would like to see a change there--whether a new commish or Engelbert willing to do an overhaul.
@ I agree an overhaul would do - didn’t see that way at first - thanks for sharing
@@sthewhat7961 But what you said makes perfect sense because I wonder if Engelbert is willing to make that overhaul, you know?
