    Honestly, love how you dont just show a tech, you shoul how it actually works in a real setting and the short falls of the tech. I dont sub to a lot of bjj page but yours is hella solid. I tried your blast slice today in class and dominated.

    Just want to reiterate that your instructionals just keep getting better and better. These are some great tongue in cheek videos you're creating showing both the technique and the roll. The only thing I wanted to ask that as an older white belt only now dealing with knee issues, you made several references to your MCL and poor knee....would you say this aint the technique if you got a bum knee?

    Excellent video breaking down the process of this pass. A lot of us standing grappling guys don't have time to split our time equally between jiujitsu and our system so bite size concepts like these are really appreciated.

    Judoka here. I did this all the time intuitively. When I came to BJJ they told me I have good knee cut pass. I think it's stems from the urge to find Kesa Gatame - the underhook position.

    • @mouthguardcomic
      @mouthguardcomic 9 місяців тому

      Same. I was a Judoka before turning to BJJ. I grappled in BJJ for years without ever trying Kesa. The first day I tried it, I hit it five times on five different guys on the same day. I asked myself why I never tried it before. You are right. I see the opening ( for Kesa Gatame) from so many different angles and it is there on the knee cut pass as well.

    Newbie here- I’m sure I still have lots of details to fill in (literally only remembered missions 1 and 2 for rough headquarters->underhook… but in my second week of training I passed a blue belt’s guard with this! Amazing feeling.
    I’m lucky he didn’t push my hips off because I completely forgot about cloud castle 😅

    Your explanation is really good. Nice work. Part of the challenge for people with the move is reaching with the hand rather than turning the hips while trusting the move. If the hips stay square to the bottom player, it is hard to clear the hip line. When you focus on reaching, one tends to keep the core square which give the bottom player more real estate to defend against.

    Awesome video and saw all of Wiltses stuff as well. One question...when actually blasting the knee cut is your knee almost traveling across the waist to get to that hip pocket, or are you aiming further up given how much momentum you have? I think there are some details I'm missing there, we also see the technique displayed as very smoothly sliding our knee over the opponents inner thigh, but I feel like it doesn't work like this live. I hope that makes sense

    say good by to anything in your knee that ends in CL however. I gave this shit up for that very reason. popped my ankle, had a sore MCL for a few weeks. shits good but its hard on that leg that gets left behind.

    what if you got the underhook then the oppenent right away shoulder crunch you? what you gonna do?

    • @Carsahh
      @Carsahh  9 місяців тому

      This has happened a LOT. You’re knee cut and underhook should happen at the same time, and if you’re past the knee shield you shouldn’t have to worry about the underhook. Elbow knee connection and cutting with your chest low should ensure you doge the knee shield, and avoid the crunch 😁

    "with defense better than your favorite nfl team" as a Russian guy who played football for 7 years and supported Packers for 7 years, I want to say that I have a psychological trauma from this joke. tbh I stop watching nfl since i quit football in 2022, maybe it not so bad now, but without Rodgers and Matthews.. it's a lil bit different packers.

      Try to keep in mind to keep their knee below yours, then you can keep it there with elbow knee connection 😁

  • @yannmoyes2493

    Bro thinks he can just blast cut any legit black belt, unless you're uber athletic like wiltse it doesnt work without a good combination they just invert, roll to turtle or deny the underhook

    • @Carsahh
      @Carsahh  10 місяців тому

      Well ofc.. Knee cutting Mica Galvao and a local hobbyist 1-2 time a week black belt will be a very different result lol
      There’s many things they can do, but if you’re able to follow through with the missions you should have a high chance of finishing 😁
