Great video. If some out there are self thought, maybe consider going to a teacher if funds allow it for practice guidance. Practicing the wrong stuff or the right stuff at the wrong stage of development can kill incentive.

Saxophone is a very technical instrument: Are you pre-keying lower stack moving C/D, and using long Bb fingerings? These are vital and will get you to next level. A Saxophone folds in half, effectively: On Middle Bb, Middle C & Middle C# nothing on lower stack registers, sound-wise, so you can pre-key. It makes a lot of difference to smoothing it out. Do not give up, I went through same feelings, but you will surmount it with perseverance and Saxophone does becomes a real joy. I have done 2600 hours in 4 years, and I am just beginning to love every minute . It stops being a chore when you fully work out technical demands, then it really gets easier, and the music takes over. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your comment! I'm 100% with you there. Just putting your fingers where they "should" go is one thing, but there's a whole world of tweaks and alternate fingerings that can help. I feel like I'm barely scratching the surface of this at the moment. Thanks for the words of encouragement - just gotta push through and the other side will be full of all the things we love about saxophone :)

@@SaxSon Long Bb keying is upper stack B plus three lower stack FED, depending which you are going towards. If heading for D going up or down, three lower right hand fingers, 2 for E one for D. It makes a huge difference than relying on Bis or SB Bb
