Sorry about the brief hiatus. We are just getting our wifi straightened out in the Bahamas right now. Thank you for you patience! We'll be doing a lot more online now that we are in Abaco. Be on the lookout for more and potentially some livestreams! Not sure where yet, facebook live, instagram live, or youtube live? anyone have a preference?
Wicked salty!!!, it's great to see y'all again! I took a hiatus. Myself from watching and dollowing your videos around the time your last vessel sank. I bought the t-shirt, survived a atroke and forfot about everything vut recovery for about 5 years. Then today, I was looking for specs of catalina 30 and food ol' google led me to your video! It's so great to be reminded of my favorite sailing youtube channel, and great to see you're still at it
It is good to see all three of you ! And Christmas with your family the Bahamas is absolutely beautiful The sound of a dingy in the water and a promise of a bilge pump never stopped my dad . Thank you don't stop 👍
Absolutely love your video expressions.....so soulful. Love the Stache ....got a little Errol Flynn going on....look up his pics (he was way before our time but you resemble him....you ole swashbuckler!!! Hi to Kate a Lola....what a great team.
I remember that stretch of the trip , my brother and I took his 48 saber from bald head island down into Charleston and that was a motor cruiser, and it seemed like forever with the same type of sea conditions, I could only imagine that 129+/- miles on the sailboat with those conditions, hats off to you guys😉👏👏👏👌👍⛵️⚓️🦈 .looking forward to you Bahamas footage!!
I recently bought a cruising boat. I went with 35 feet, because at 30 feet you do get pushed around a lot. I mostly go back and forth between Gloucester and Boston, some day I'll get down south!!
Glad you guys are back on the UA-cams. Thanks for the update, chasing WiFi doesn't sound like fun. If I was in your shoes I would worry more about enjoying my time out cruising and not sweat a day or two late video! Looking forward to the content you have lined up and really like how you don't just boil everything down to a high light real, but show that some times not everything is avocado toast and sun downers.
wes and kate , I didn't mean to pressure you guys into anything. I just was worried because the last long gap in video's was due to a major lack of boat. I like you guys and you deserve good times from here on in. we are both east coasters (I live in Connecticut) and want to see you living it up.
Great video mates! Glad you found high speed internet in the West Indies finally! Lol! I didn't realize Kate is susceptible to sea sickness. I may buy a pair of those bands for my wife as she gets a weebit green on choppy water. You guys sure did have a cold ride south! Stay safe and looking forward to more of your great sailing videos!
Definitely! This pirate is looking forward to the next time you sail your mighty fine vessel into Matanzas Bay so we can hoist a couple of beers with ye mates and listen to your adventures from the West Indies!
Nice meeting you in Hopetown. Looking to more Salty episodes! If you have a WiFi extender there is an open router near Boat Harbor Marina on the west side of Marsh Harbor named "foscam". Sick bandwidth!
@@WickedSalty #6312. I'm sitting on her right now while she's sitting in her winter cradle here in Michigan. Launch day Monday morning.!! Finishing up some projects. Can't wait to see how your girl handles the blue water. I'm so jealous.!! ⛵☀️
I love following your adventures. FYI The one time I was experiencing seasickness, I ate half of an apple and I felt really good shortly after that. Stay safe!!
BTW, I'm really happy that Dollar Shave Club supports you. I don't mind the advertising during the video if it helps keep you Sailing! Hugs to you all.
Whats with running the iron genny with all that wind? Jesus Christ, put the VDS (Vertical Dacron Stabilizer)up and peel off just a bit so your not running DDW and enjoy the peace and motion that will be 100% better! Sorry I'm sure you have a reason, enjoy kids!
For a channel about SAILING and CRUISING.... not much sailing going on.... and lets be honest, the 4 month delay makes the audience feel disconnected from them. I skipped over 90% of this video. (and I've been a faithful sub for many years.) I hope they fix this, because people like Vagabond and The Wynns are setting the bar in terms of what awesome sailing/crusing videos SHOULD be.... and these are, a bit, dissapointing.
That looked rough! It's difficult to film the waves and truly get a feeling for the size of them You did a great job. Don't know how you stayed up all night piloting that boat. Good for you!
I would go for quality rather than quantity. Just saying. Big fan tho, right from the start. You on an inflatable to get to your boat. Also drinking beer with your mates. Smiles, time just keeps rolling. Cheers to you both. (X)
Well done your into it good seas just what the boat is made for , I here the motor on , save it you don’t need it at sea , move the camera back so more scenery comes into the video , good sailing thanks
If you take a look on my channel to the épisode 3, you will heard a sound like this( like a cow....) And a few hours later, the sound disapear. It made sound only when I turned thé steering wheel to starboard. On the next épisode, there is no sounds. This is alomost the same sound. @Rob S

@@zuberzyril7124 The only other guess I would have is that your rudder is experiencing some harmonic vibration. This vibration is usually most prevalent when sailing *downwind.* This vibration sometimes occurs naturally due to vertices at the rudder's trailing edge, but can be exaggerated by worn rudder bushings.
Nice video Wes. If you get really hard up for service you can always FedEx me a memory stick, make a sub account, and I'll upload it for you. Lola looked cold, but I do love all the little outfits she wears. Honestly, she is more stylish than my wife.....
please don't take this the wrong way. I love your videos. One episode a week is great. Theres too much to watch on UA-cam. I think you'l lose viewers if you put too much on.
Hey Guys, just wanted to tell you that my wife and I discovered myislandwifi.com in the Bahamas. We have had service all over the Bahamas even 21 miles away from land so just wanted to share that... keep posting.
Why not? There are only two disadvantages that I know of with a wing keel, and that's a slightly poorer VMG to windward, and getting her un-stuck in an unfortunate grounding in mud.

Ah I wondered where you had gone.
Why even bother ! you guys are always doing the same thing !
Yay, you guys are back! Always good to hear from you. I like UA-cam for livestreams, they tend to work better for me, just a personal opinion.
You guys are the originals. I was hoping you would come back. Yay. You should be up there with Delos.
I think you are just having too much darn fun !
Thanks for sharing 😎

Been waiting for a

Oh goodness, finally a video, I’ve been worried about you and Kate and Lola, so glad to know you are all ok, safe sails
Those were definitely some rough seas. You guys were going through it big time. Great job Captain Wes!

Hey Wicked Salty, give us some insight on your future plans beyond the Bahamas even if it is a wish list.
how well do you feel the boat would take heavy seas?
Kate watching Friends. :)
Man, you guys need to post more, we r way back on Xmas? Hard to follow what’s going on...should of posted this 4 months ago
were you able to salvage that coffee press from your other boat?
I would go for quality rather than quantity.

Tony Bell thanks man, we’ll keep it up!
You looked a little green in that last shot.
Great video. Did you get new HD cameras? The picture seems especially amazing.

Poor continuity.
