That’s nice! Our goal is to share the real stories and atmosphere of these places - not just be a basic travel channel! Really happy you enjoyed it!

How incredible! I didn't know much about the Valley of the Kings - had to pause to take in some of the artwork, so crazy to think about how long they've been there. How's the cheeky Roman graffiti! "Maximus waz ere" 😂

You’re behind Kiki - catch up! 🤣 You’re possibly the only person still watching after 5 months 🤣 Glad you saw the maximus reference - you watched until the end!!

“Didn’t touch” that made me laugh, well played sir 👏 yeah I mean I’m not sure what that woman is for but I’d like one in my sarcophagus! Thanks for watching again and yes… it’s dark in tombs Omar 🤣

How did they light up the tombs 1000s of years ago? They were pitch black in darkness.

They reckon they used oil lamps rather than big torches. They did a study recently and researchers found lower levels of soot in the tombs than you’d expect from large torches (although for short periods in the larger tombs they would have used them). It’s crazy isn’t it - you can imagine what it would be like seeing the hieroglyphs slowly emerge out the darkness from the limited light you’d get from an oil lamp. Spooky!

People are quite annoying and lack common courtesy. It’s just a free for all.

Yeah it’s annoying but there are loads of tombs so you can escape the crowds + there’s plenty of pharaoh’s curse to go around 😂 thanks for watching!!

being loud inside the tomb: that's disrespecful and wish them pharaoh's curse semi jokingly
one minute later: have absolutely no problem taking funny pictures with the sarcophagus and hang out with the pharaoh's stone naked lady because the tomb guard wants to make a quick buck 🥹
    top tier quality content mate

Hahaha I know right 😂 to be fair when he got me to jump over I thought he just wanted to show me something - I didn’t realise it was picture time! I reckon I get a ‘pharaohs blessing’ (yes I made that up) for trying to make him relevant in 2024 3000 years after he died… so it all balances out 🤷🏼‍♂️😁 thanks for watching!

@@less-travelled totally man, that's exactly how i felt when i visited the kings valley, from 'wait you guys do realize this is a tomb right' to 'welp given the pharaohs' taste for spectacle and eternal notability, by literally carving their face into the stone, i guess i cant be mad if i'm still relevant 3 millenia later, especially how ancient egyptian view death and after life'.
Besides, even tho it's common pratice to deify monarchs throughout different civilizations, it's a bit cringe in 2024, and to bring economic values to its people, from the spectacle that made by the people, millenia later, if that's not blessing in the truest sense i dont know what is🥹
i think you're safe in the curse department given you didn't grind the mummies into human jerky powder and ingest it as 'medicine' like the old blighty does🥹
