This channel has been putting out content over 10 years. I'm so glad that the creator of it keeps putting out these great memories. Thank you so much for the years of nostalgia.
7:30 - Was there ever a time when Nick Nolte's voice didn't sound like he just finished gargling shards of glass? Even that young, he sounds like an old man.
5:22 My folks bought those books. They were interesting. The physic powers one had an ESP test in it and me and my brother used to try it out on each other LOL.
King Of The Mountain was inspired by an old Japanese game show called "Takeshi's Castle" and which was later brought over to the U.S. on a channel called Spike TV as "MXC - Most Extreme Elimination Challenge"
8:59 "Their lives are changed forever, but love gives them the strength to survive in the breathtaking moment you'll see after this..." *russian man screaming about sausages and breathmints appears*
That Magic Cup instant win game followed the fiasco of the Magic Can instant win game, where a winning can had money or a gift certificate pop up. Despite winning a prize, lucky winners complained that it didn't work right, or that they accidentally drank the non-potable water inside the winning can. For once, I actually bought Coca-Cola at lunch during school.
I miss Fox 54. From 1993-1996, it was the only Fox station North Alabama had. Then in 1996, the Birmingham based ABC station transitioned to a Fox station, which still exists today. Fox 6 can be viewed throughout the entire state, whereas Fox 54 was only in North Alabama and parts of Southern Tennessee. Fox 6 didn’t air Fox Kids shows, though, but 54 did.
King of The Mountain was FOX's version of Takeshi's Castle - a few years later CBS also had a special based off the same concept called Storm The Castle. Both versions are available here on UA-cam. The READ THE BOOK commercial I remember was the two guys in the restaurant, it was on ALL. THE. TIME. during movies on WNYW Fox 5 back in the day.
War Of The Worlds-that bit was from a episode of the less-than-popular second(and last) season..R.I.P Jared Martin America's Most Wanted-hopefully they caught that guy.. Buckle PSA-"You Lost Your Life" sounds like one of those Running Man/Hunger Games-type shows youd see in a dystopian scifi film Snickers-the look on his face at the very end:"..It was all a dream...or was it..?" Cops-Early season episodes in Las Vegas(and New Orleans during Mardi Gras) were good Time Life Mysteries-commercial wouldve been a lot shorter had he just said"Lady would you READ THE BOOK and stop asking questions???" Coca-Cola-the extended version of this commercial was played in theaters for a time.."There's MAGIC IN THE REEEAL THIIIING..." Clorets-that tuna sandwich she ate mustve also had hot peppers in it
Yep, that's what that is from. I wouldn't call it a horror movie and it's definitely *not* a classic, but Jeffrey Jones is pretty terrifying in that movie.
5:42 - Some bad sound here, as I can't understand the announcer saying the guy's name over the guy talking. You also have to wonder if that guy talking about the spirits is getting p.o.'ed at these people talking about books while he's trying to perform his act in the background.

Love the late night stuff the most. I’m a sucker for old (creepy) PSAs and cheesy local ads. And in those days you had many Xrated phone line ads.
The late night infomercials are pretty great too.

Late night commercials are the best.
Friday the 13th, war of the worlds, and tales from the dark side was the SHIT!

9:29 Poor girl in the Clorets commercial got drenched just as she was taking her Clorets lol. She looked so pretty though

I swear that’s a clip of Howard the Duck at 0:22 (dude shooting lighting out of his hands)

Which book?
Tennessee Vally. I used to live there.
What was the 9 year old Canadian girl that was murdered?
