Scrupulosity is the logical conclusion of works salvation and why Luther referred to papist sacramental confession as a 'hellish torture'. Treating scrupulosity as a physiological disorder when there is no objective medical criterion (as is the case with most 'mental disorders' ) is simply futile and means you dont take it as something to be solved or overcome but rather placated and inculcates helplessness more than anything until they learn to trust in God's grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, as revealed by Scripture alone, to the glory of God alone.
I am sorry that you are stubbornly misinformed. There is mental Illness and OCD is a mental Illness. Just because you deny it does not make it otherwise
So what you're saying is saint iraneus and St Polycarp were wrong and taught falsely even though they were disciples of the apostles? What you're saying is the didichae was wrong which teaches the Catholic faith the same way as taught today since 65-80 ad. What your saying is that Martin Luther was right in adding the word alone to Romans 3:28? What you're saying is that he was correct in removing 13 books of scripture(which contain purgatory and other Catholic doctrines) which had been in place since the council of rome in 382 and then reaffirmed in Hippo then Carthage then Florence and finally in Trent. Sola scriptura has no historical basis. If you read the book of James it says faith without works is dead. There is no once saved always saved. I am a former Southern Baptist convert so if you'd like the go over scripture please private message me.
Yes, read that comment above! I am a convert to the Catholic faith. Confession is not a "hellish torture" but a grace and gift from Jesus who died for those sins. You walk away from confession on a cloud of peace !
