Haha, thank you. It's been sat here for 1 and a half years!!!!!! Time goes too quick for my liking. Cheers for sending it over and have a lovely Christmas🎄
Hi Vince, Just like to say that I appreciate the fact that you recycle all these potential landfill items. Also, for putting out videos to resolve common problems so that your viewers can recycle things for themselves. Top bloke! 👏 Always look forward to your videos. Cheers 😎👍🇬🇧
Hello Mate Vince. Thanks for another great video. Merry Christmas to you too. For a raspi, hdmi audio is not automatic, using raspi-config on the command line you can enable it. One of those little quirks ;) Note to self; keep watching before commenting ;)
Merry Christmas Vince... I already opened my presents.. well I can as it is 9.45am, benefit of being in the future.... @5:00 I have had to repair those kinds of switches before too, dirty from new ! Polish with fibreglass brush and squeeze terminal closed a touch to grip a bit tighter.
The camera you use is fantastic! I love your videos even though I only have a hobby grade knowledge of electronics. I always learn something and good troubleshooting steps are always fun to watch for me.
If I could give ten thumbs up, I wouldn‘t hesitate a second! Your performance at the end really made my day, thank you so much, Vince 😂😂😂 and keep on going with your videos, I enjoy them for years now!
Happy Holidays Vince! Thanks so much for all the wonderful videos, this, and every year. I absolutely love your approach to fixing electronics. It has given me so much motivation to do my own repairs. Your videos just make my day when things aren't great. I wish you the best and know you'll have a great 2024. Cheers from Colorado!
Tunes menthol sweets were round-shaped lozenges that were manufactured by The Wrigley Company Ltd in Plymouth, and came with the slogan "Help you breathe more easily". Unfortunately, the company stopped manufacturing Tunes in 2017, with Cherry Menthol Sugar Free being the last available flavour.

Another fantastic video. I think I like the waffling the most. I'll switch over to No Waffling and see how that is. Maybe I'm a fan of waffling. Who knows?
Vince, et al, here's a handy thing (if you didn't know about it already)... Make yourself up some leads with "IC Test Clips" for testing out the single wire points rather than having to hold the fiddly piecers on them. I got a handful and made some Banana to IC Clip, Alligator to IC Clip, IC Clip to IC Clip etc etc Very handy indeed. Good for hooking onto things in-circuit too if need be!
Nice bit of nature video as the squirrel ran along the fence as you did you Buzz Lightyear bit. Great video. Subscribed to Nowaffling too. Have a great 2024.

Nice video, Vince :) I keep the battery contacts of the non-fixable items in a small pill bottle, in case I ever need some for something that has broken or lost contacts. Last time, I got a JBL iPod dock for free from a friend, and it needed one because the battery leaked.
Hi Vince . Merry Christmas. In the first video on the switch contacts. Instead of scaping, use some car polish on cotton bud- cleans really well. Then rinse with contact cleaner and finally some Deoxit red ( for switches) to prevent future corrosion and oxidization. Cheers

Well done Vince 😀👍. And Happy Christmas 🎉 Maybe next year you could load your repair equipment up into the Rolls and make a series travelling around visiting folk (other UA-camrs) and fix their faulty stuff?? Definitely one up on The Python’s Bicycle Repairman!
Next year i'm buying you a pad of full sized rectangular pieces of paper. 🤣 It seems like you have endless supply of torn off corners, is that to avoid paper cuts? Always makes me laugh. Keep up the great work and content & looking forward to seeing the rolls finished. Happy Holidays

Hey Mr Vince i subscribed to your other channel. Also i wish i could come out where you are at and take a tour of the UK and share ideas as well as possibly helping a little bit on projects you do. Ya sounds strange but thats actually a bucket list item i have. But either way i really like how you have progressed throughout the years. Cheers from the U.S. 😊 also happy after merry Christmas and happy new year.
Would love to see you begin in 2024, to WEIGH-IN all items fixed, and failed fixes. Thus proving at end of year you saved (let's say) 3/4 ton of refuse from the skiff /landfill. Saved weight - failed weight = Actual Amount saved.
Sound toys like the buzz lightyear use little to no current so the split off from 4.5v on the batteries would hardly make a difference. A kid is not going to constantly open and close the wings, using the motor which is the main current draw. So the batteries should discharge relatively equally. Saved the company 2 cents on sundries and a voltage reg. Fixed a bluttooth speaker the other day thanks to one of your videos (could not for the life of me work out how to get it apart). Then hid it under a table at the pub and sat at a nearby table with my iPad open and a rattle snake documentary open on it. Every time someone approached that table, I played the rattle snake. A lot of confused, and even one scared punter backed away from that table :) (there are no rattle snakes in Australia!)
@2:00 - Be mindful of eating too much sugar-free candy. If it's made with Zylatol or other sugar alcohols and your body is not used to them already, the runs will come as quite a shock. For those not used to sugar alcohols, it's best to ease in to them or you will pay the price.
Cool items and fixes :) Visited my parents and they complained their Sony smart tv remote controller (RMF-TX310E) doesn't work, they even had bought another remote controller to be able to use the tv. I thought the button contacts might be dirty, so took it to my place to be inspected. First thing I tested if there's just some buttons, or all buttons that doesn't work, so putted new batteries in... and everything works just fine! I was even able to control my older Sony tv with it, so not sure why they thought it doesn't work. I even tested the microphone button "battery test" feature, by holding volume down and the mic button down until an led starts flashing above the mic button, and it works as well. I got impression the voice commands work using bluetooth. I guess I just got to experience the disappointing feeling Vince does, when there's no fault to be found after all :D
Could they have spilled something on it when it wasn't working? I know I have had to take apart remotes more than once which 'mysteriously' stopped working/had dodgy buttons and they were a little damp on the inside. Anyway at least they have a spare remote, or a remote each, now.
@@thehermitish1 I have no idea, nothing like that was admitted at least :D All I know that now in my possession the controller works perfectly without doing anything to it. All buttons work normally, no need to press them hard or something, which is usually the case with dirty contacts, before they stop working completely. Have experience about that in the past. From Google I saw one post about remote controller problem solved by turning off the TV, pulling the plug at least for a minute from the wall socket, and then switching it back on, some kind of hardware reset I guess. I'll recommend trying that for my parents, if it still doesn't work for them.

Tuoones.
They were square, radiuses corners, with a circular dimple in the middle of each side. About 4mm thick. Same shape as Spangles.
@@sprint955st IIRC Spangles were more pillow shaped. Tunes were as you say.
