iOS 17 new feature makes the lock-screen wallpaper blurred to adjust the screen on iPhone.
At least apple should have given the opportunity to disable this. I don’t want this at all. This is a stupid feature

Thank you so much the top blur has been messing up my wallpapers
This helps with some images but many ive drawn are screen size already and it just results in bluring or the images having to be zoomed as a result. Apple needs to fix this, cos honestly the older wallpaper actions were easier and less fussy.
Why add that feature without on and off options!!! I hate to look this up and still not working the way I want😫

If it could be turned on and of it would have been ok. But apple really dropped the ball on this. iOS 17 hasn’t been worth the upgrade at all
Thank you for this workaround. It’s not the best option since apple gave us this new “feature” but at least it works. The idiot apple software engineer that did this should be fired.

it’s still has the blurry effect. I already file a feedback on the website of apple where you can turn it on or off the blurry effect. Hopefully they change it on the next update.
the idea is ok! but I don't want to crop/cut the picture, the same thing happens when I put contacts to appear on the whole screen! I officially have ios17, is there no other solution to get rid of blurring!?

@@guantian_ I haven't found a solution, it's a bug! everyone has to give feedback to apple with the problems encountered and only then do we expect an update

It still blurs at the top because I don’t want the photo to be that large. I’ve tried resizing it, and that hasn’t worked.

This “feature” is very annoying bc it blurs all the white wallpapers I had. I want it full screen not super zoomed in. This needs to be changed and added as an option in iOS 17.1 asap

@@daddioobb4 exactly! lol I’m currently on 17.1.2 and there’s now a button that says turn off effect it still zooms in but not as much as before so I guess it works for now

Not working, still blurry if resized, this cropped picture is no difference whenever you are letting iPhone automatic cropped at the wallpaper screen.
Blur comes every time you move your pictures out of upper frame, whenever scaled back, blurry goes away. So no this is not the fix sorry.

This is a very bad move on Apples part after the update they should've have a disable feature in the next fix. Anyhow this is a good temporary fix for now

But once you crop it the way you want it just zooms back in when you set the photo as your wallpaper and then blurs it again! 😒😒

@@technicalbeardonot for me, once I'm done editing and set it as my wallpaper it just zooms in a lot then starts to blur when I zoom out. Strange. 🤔

That’s pointless. When setting the wallpaper if you zoom in it does this automatically…. I thought this video would be helpful by actually showing where you don’t have to do that
