I have the 1N and haven’t used for years. I got the bc error. Changed batteries, no good. From the internet knowledge, I used a magnet and hey presto. These cameras are tanks and stable. I also the real tank, Canon T90 😀. Enjoy it.
I have ultramax in mine at the moment. And I hate the 2cr5 battery. I looked and found mine with the battery grip. It sure is a tank but goes with me, almost everywhere. I also have a copy of all the "A" series Canon. Both in the silver and black, when they made them. Won't be giving up my A-girls any time soon. Great video. Thanks.
+1. I have 3 Canon A-1's, all in mint condition. I love the A-1 for its build quality, functionality, beauty, and feel in the hand. The A-1, AE-1 Program, and AE-1 are just beautiful.
I’ve got a 1N and a 1V. The 1N is definitely a bargain, I would hang onto it for a while as I reckon it will definitely go up in value. I don’t see these pro 35mm cameras ever being manufactured again and I’m sure they will be quite sought after in the future.
Joe. This video is 3 years old. Are the sentiments the same? I'm on the fence between buying the 1N, the Eos 3(which you didn't mention, it dropped after the 1N) and the 1V, but the price point on Ebay makes the purchase of a 1N pretty tempting, not sure what I'll miss out on with the 1V.
I have, like you, the AE1 but also the OM1 from Olympus and as you mentionned, its sometimes difficult to focus. But since I bought this camera, things change for me. However I still use my Olympus bescause it slows me down. The EOS 1n is a realy great camera, super fast, super reliable.
Shot most of my 90's images on this camera, the 1n tank. Great camera but one of the most uninspiring and dull cameras I've ever owned. Never let me down or had problems with it but never bragged or praised it's weight either. Loved my A-1, T-90, A2E but never fell in love with this camera. MHO.
I just ordered my Booster grip, cos my old one got damaged, really look forward to use my Eos1n again after so many years leaving film, it would be just a good fun around camera on the side :)
How have you found it after a couple of months? I've just bought one of these for the same reasons as you and wanted to get to grips with it before Christmas :)
Hey Christopher! Just seeing this. I LOVE it. It’s so fun to use and like I said in the vid it’s built like a tank. I’ve shot a few rolls through and it’s definitely a keeper.
I am interested, but terrified of film these days. I remember using film cameras with my grandpa when I was a kid. He was an avid amateur photographer. My first camera was a film camera, before I quickly upgraded to a digital camera. Both of them nikons. But I never got around to getting the film developed before my house was broken into and all of my gear was stolen. Having moved into the world of mirrorless, with a canon rp, I’ve gotten used to the evf helping me properly expose a photo before taking it. One of these days.
i cannot locate the usb port on the camera, as i had planned to transfer the photos i took straight to my computer while the film is still in the camera.
just bought a 1n with a 40mm f2.8 can't wait for it to come in

Those first few photos you shot with the 1n are great. I may buy one of these myself.

get the grip, batteries are much longer lasting and AA is easy to find especially in bulk

Joe, would you mind if I grabbed a few seconds from your video to use in a review I'm doing of the 1 Series history?
Hey Joe, give your AE1-Program some love and give it a CLA to get rid of the Canon "Shutter Squeak" :)
I have always wondered if that's how it's supposed to sound! I guess not, haha!

Hi Joe, what film did you shoot in the video?
Hey Ed! I shot Kodak Ultramax 400. There’s a clip of it at 4:07!
@@JoeCopenhaver sorry Joe my blonde moment lol...pics look great, just picked up the 1n before Xmas...for the exact same reasons..af & exposure.

I’m not sure if you’re serious or not, but this camera pre-dates USB by about two years believe it or not! Thanks for watching!! ✌🏼
@@JoeCopenhaver as i understand it, once i remove the film then i no longer have the opportunity to transfer the images straight over to my computer.
Film is still cool
