to answer your question: juyeon chose billie eilish's song bc his team the boyz had competed in two competition shows called "road to kingdom" and "kingdom: legendary war" so this song and performance captured the struggles he and his team went through during that time (over a year of competition and promoting and being actively evaluated by the public and experts and colleagues), and then there's his personal breakthrough at the end of the performance with more self-esteem and control.
As a professional dancer myself who has seen every artist of the month, I must say hyunjin’s is the best. His dancing is very impressive, but his charisma, confidence, energy, AND facial expressions prove to me that he is actually the best. No other aotm did it like him. I have seen his video of “play with fire” choreographed by himself and honestly, the choreography is better in that to me than this video (which he did not choreograph). I am impressed by his talent, and I hope he keeps it up

I don't know them. But as someone who's study dancing and a professional.. The first guy was the most skilled out of the three.. Then the one whos song is bad is next.. You can tell they have the most potential by just the way they move. The first one is not limited and looks like he can dance to different style of dancing. I salute him for that
i really wish they gave Juyeon a better way to show off his dancing in his AOTM ... it's amazing, and beautiful, but in my opinion it doesn't allow him to really showcase the talent he has :(
the producer of studio choom said that juyeon had the record for the most number of takes (138). so the staff for aotm worked really hard to capture what juyeon and his team brought to the shoot, bc 138 takes is hours and hours and hours of work on set and then again in editing/producing. not sure who you're referring to when you say "they" (the choreographer mihawk or juyeon or cre.ker or the studio choom team) but everyone worked really hard on it. also juyeon said that he had a big role in the process, taking 2-3 weeks just to flush out the details of the topic alone. he said he wanted to focus on the story of his struggles during that time, by using expressions and lingering imagery instead of "definitive" moves. he made choices about the choreo itself, too.. sooo yeah, i understand that you may personally think he can do better or show himself better, but ultimately this is about what he wanted to share. i think we should respect art for the creator's intended purpose and for what it provides, not for what we personally want it to be.

The first one Juyeon gets a storyline actually, the change of characters, I agree that moments are sick and I love part 1 (like an animal in the cage)and 2 (like a monster struggled to escape)more than part 3(got the freedom and himself out).
i enjoyed juyeon's performance the most! it's amazing how he is able to execute such difficult moves that requires him to position himself in weird angles, but he is able to make it look so good and perfect 😩

In his behind the scenes he said that he came up with the piece with their choreographer and the piece tells a story about how he felt during Road to Kingdom/Kingdom and how difficult it was for him and the other members. But on the other hand, I do kinda wish he did something more his usual style and maybe attracted the attention of more new people.
I loved everything about this!!! His reactions are so genuine and so funny! And the ways he sees the beauty of the styling and editing and everything, and how he refers to their ability to draw in a fan because of their performance…. I just love him!

Hyunjin from STRAY KIDS is a perfect dancer performer who can do everything as an artist!! He's best performer dancer in 4th gen I only will choose him between so many good dancers in new gen kpop but when u have high standards like KAI AND TEAMIN LEVEL IN KPOP so to me only this guy HWANG HYUNJIN can reach that high level that impressed u his facial expressions is on point his moves are so strang!! He feels the music rather than just good dancing yk he has high skills but also a special feelings a strong presence !! He's into that he make u feel that too!! He's the TRUE ARTIST ONE... I liked parts of the first dance but Wooyoung and Ateez as a group are always giving us facial expressions so I tend to lose interest quick if people are performing and their face isn't. I like expressions because they also tell a story and Wooyoung is part of the team of the kings of expressions and performance which is Ateez. There are many talented idols who can dance but not many who know how to express because kpop companies are so into poker face. Woo had fun with his performance with clean moves and yes, he gave me bits of the most amazing artist ever MJ. Michael set the standard for me expecting artists to perform with expressions and honestly it's why I only really pay attention to Ateez even though more kpop idols are trying to do expressions now because Ateez have gotten so much attention for it.

It's really long😁 but In that long years, I never find an idol that makes me feel he is different from others idol, sexy, handsome.
