Cass Scenic Railroad: Parade of Steam 2022

On June 18th, 2022 the Cass Scenic Railroad hosted its 3rd annual Parade of Steam. 5 geared steamers were in operation including Shays #2, #4, #5, #11, and Climax #9. With plenty of whistles, smoke, and beautiful weather it was definitely a sight to behold as the engines ran back and forth multiple time between the station and the water tank. Later on Shay #11 pulled a caboose train 2 miles up the Greenbrier Branch and return. This marked the first revenue trains up the branch since the 1985 flood.
