This is the REAL Level 42 sound. Classic!!
Some serious 🎸🎸 guitar
Talent going down here 🌠🌠🏞️
Monster bass playing Mark King
Great contribution by EC to this classic L42 track! Eric Clapton should contribute guitar solos to more Level 42 tunes!
Level 42 and Eric Clapton, wow!! ✌️😙
Golden years
Muy buen grup level 42 tiempos de mi juventud...
Jools Holland on piano & Eric Clapton on support
Then later on George Harrison was on stage and Elton John (I think)
Oh and midge ure (Ultravox) on rhythm guitar
And me on trombone.
Sensacionais!!!🎼Sou fã!
Elegancia, en su estado puro.
Those were the days
2024 🎉
Eric Clapton on guitar 🎸
Wow
These Princes Trust concerts were the pinnacle of great musicianship in the UK Music industry. Level 42 with Mark Brzezicki on Drums and Clapton and this was early on in the evening. You just could not do a supergroup like this with modern day pop stars. That really is quite sad.
I Would love if i actually could do a band and play this kind of music with a good quality sound like it was at this concert
You couldn't do a supergroup with modern acts for one very good reason... most of them are utter shit...!!! And so is their music 🎶
Tks for posting👏
mark king was a drummer first. i think that’s why he can a few things at a time. we used to say he has two brains
Midge Ure on rhythm guitar
Jools holland popping in like a ninja all over the place
Maravilloso concierto! Fantástico.
està eric clapton tocando con level 42
Aquí estamos
Só fera no palco 🤩
Sllapping your bass up is better than slapping your missus up 😛👍.
Who was the other guitarist was it murphy
And Jools Holland and Mark Brzezicki.-
Shocking lyrics ! Clapton dying inside 😂
Volume up! As per back up vocal
es Eric Clapton behind?
Si
4 guitarists all playing the same part 🤣🤣🤣
I clicked on a Level 42 performance and definitely was not expecting Eric Clapton! Love it.
..Clapton nimmt das Schwule aus der Mugge bissl raus 😉👍🏻
Really? It literally says ‚Eric Clapton‘ in the description… 😅😅
Yes Eric rocks!
Those were the days
Pure unadulterated music
And competences in execution
Absolutely true
Mark King is a bass King. Amazing band. Eric on stage was fantastic.
The fastest bassist in the world !
Mark King is an underrated vocalist- great tone and style. Hard to believe he could sing so well while playing some of the toughest (AND COOLEST) bass lines in pop history.
Yes SIR 🤟🤟🔥🔥
And chewing gum at the same time 😊❤
Mark King's voice is amazing!
Your right , it does sound amazing .
The anger in Eric Clapton's solo stunned me at 3:06, and I collect his music. This is brilliant quality.
yep big EC fan for decades and recall watching this live and thinking as you have rightly said, a real edge and attack to that lead break… great playing and vid
I Believe Eric was going through a divorce with patty at the time, his playing always reflected the way he was feeling. From the heart.
Here for Mark King but my goodness Clapton solo is incredible 😮
They got some serious backing vocals too from Londonbeat's Jim Helms
Wow! I love running in the family...but I saw Londonbeat in the chorus!!! who would've thought! what a nice surprise!
True talent has nothing to prove and respects the true talents of others. That's why you get amazing lineups like this
Fun fact.. I met Level 42 on a beach in Torremolinos. Early 90's. I rushed off to a souvenir shop so he could give me his autograph... Still got it somewhere... Wanna see the postcard with his autograph?? That's if it's not been ruined with mould... Haha
この時、Level42 としてではなく、Prince's Trust All Star Bandのメンバーとして、BassのMark KingとKeyboardsのMike Lindapが出てきて、(Videoでは)1発目にこの『Running in the Family』を演ったんですよね。コーラスのいい加減な仕事に、Mike Lindapが天を仰ぐところが印象的でした。
Saw them many times at the playhouse in Edinburgh their were amazing.. I’m still in love with Mark King xxx
Mark King in the 80s...😍😍😋😋
Sad not to see Boon and Phil here. This was '87, and if I'm not mistaken, The Goulds only performed songs from this album a few times before departing. L42 wasn't the same after that.
Although the gouldswhere great musicians, I thought they had a tighter sound with Gary Husband and Alan Murphy… but I don’t dislike either version of them bands… thought they lost it a bit when Alan passed away…
Jools Holland on keyboards?
Didn't know that Eric Clapton played with Level 42 ❤
It's an all star band for a Prince Trust Rock Gala.
But agree. It's one in a lifetime event
Having the lead singer playing bass must make it doubly hard for the drummer. Impressive
Mark King, King of machine gun style
Ellos.son amigos Erick y Mark....great band...Level 42
Beautiful music and song 🎶💖
Wait a second, Midge Ure playing guitar. Gosh, what a performance.
When to be onstage you HAD TO BE ABLE to perform
Epicardium!
Holy shit! What a band 🙂
mark king is loving clapton xxx
Double bonus!!
👏👏👏
👏👏👏
underrated band
Great concerts great music até that time
Clapton x amazing love MK x
BIg Level 42 fan here. Wish they played different song with Eric Clapton on guitar....
Agreed. Level 42 have a lot of other songs that are far less pop and more funky. “Mr. Pink” would have been cool for Clapton! But given the occasion, I suppose they were under pressure to play “the hits” only.
Der Schwule Mattenfedja würde ohne Clapton untergehen
So good. Who were the backing singers please?
gran grupo musical level 42 el bajo manso.
Great musicians and tune

Oh, who was the blonde haired guy mainly singing and playing guitar? I can’t find his name anywhere
If you’re talking about the guy playing the bass that’s Mark King from Level 42.
Milujem vás Level42❤❤❤
Amazing 👏.
Clapton ruins it a bit, no need of his guitar in this song
Cheezy lyrics. lol
i think clapton´s short solo was useless here :)
In your opinion.
@@joanie3452 alright, now enjoy the ten seconds he was soloing :D
This is GOLD!!!! Eric with Level 42
Bendito día, el que Mark Kong y Mike Lindap unieron sus voces para formar ese maravilloso sonido.
