Great segment, but the reason anyone can’t run this offense easily is because Tua is left handed and our offenses is catered to that fact. On top of Bridgewater going into concussion protocol and Skylar getting hurt, there were a lot of factors that made it difficult for our back ups to be successful
J Mac, in his heart of hearts, believes he could be a pro athlete…I’d say no more but combine that with his salacious tabloid background and bloviating NYC demeanor and you got quite the Jack*ss

Danny is the goods. He's the best thing on Chicago sports radio right now. I'm glad he's getting his flowers and getting his much deserved national recognition.
Great listen, Danny was awesome filling in on First things first recently too. Hope he gets a permanent spot somewhere, he could definitely generate viewership on his own.
Don't kid yourself, the 17 year old yea, awesome, but the moment the vets turned it on he was shut down completely. He can play but the pros didn't go at him remember that.
If you put literally any other name on Tua's resume, he would be renowned as at least a top five QB and the entirety of the media and NFL fans would be laughing at Miami for not getting a new contract with Tua awhile ago. It's not just that Miami won't get anyone better than Tua, it's not just that he's a top 3-5 QB, it's not just that the system is one where Tua's the best to run it, it's not just that he's been carrying a bottom three OL, McDaniel, bad defense, and WRs who fold in big situations; it's all of that, and more. I'm not saying give Tua $70m a year, but the contract should've been done already. Especially when you factor-in the fact that the league will probably do something about QBs and the Salary Cap soon enough, and that signing Tua gives Miami more Cap to use for the roster over the next three years, along with them offloading big debts in the Cap over that time as well.
Hate to say it, but Danny is way more composed, unbiased, and rational than my guy Nick Wright. If someone’s going to eventually replace Colin, I hope it’s him.
we haven’t even seen Cooper Flagg in college basketball, beat UNC twice and lead your stacked Duke team in the NCAA tournament. let’s pump the brakes please. and don’t tell me world basketball is more competitive than college, I understand that, but there is no hostile environments in world basketball compared to college
Ok so it’s not impressive for Flagg to make wow plays against established NBA stars but it would be impressive for Flagg to be great against college kids? Make that make sense.
He's about to be the new caitlin clark. They next great white hype. They'll be calling him the goat before the season starts. I think he's going to be a good player, but sheesh.... it was a scrimmage that had zero real game intensity.
Bad example because none of those quarterbacks actually prepared that week to start and play the whole game. And when Skyler Thompson did in the playoffs he didn't look bad Bridgewater only played a few snaps after coming in for Tua cause he got hurt
Wouldn’t say he did that good. He had 2 turnovers and the Dolphins kept having great field possession majority of their possessions but were being held to field goals most times. The Phins defense helped him out a lot causing their own Turnovers. But like the host said the example size is small so they can’t really use that against Tua like the 49ers can to Purdy.
I’m older than even the guy who created this show. There was one guy who, if he lived now would be every bit of impressive as Victor Wembanyama is. His name was Wilt Chamberlain. To the second of this comment, there has never been a basketball player who has ever lived, who was as dominant as he was. If one dare to honestly extrapolate that dominance into different errors, he would’ve dominated in any era of sport he would’ve played in. This is not me the comment from an anonymous UA-cam video. This was the consensus of all of the history of the NBA up until seeing Michael Jordan. And the people who lived before Jordan, who actually washed him, did not agree that Jordan was better than Chamberlain. 9:50 returning back to the present, we understand the role of media is to hype up things. This kid and Duke felt as authentic a reveal in sports as acting in a Hollywood movie. It’s easy to tell marketing. Especially in sports.
Throwing away tens of millions of dollars betting on a guy that has shrink in every important moment who has a history of injuries and cannot see over the offensive line is not a gamble Miami needs to take
I agree. Miami development of tua has been criminal from day 1. Plus rumors of trades, revolving wheel of offensive coaches, etc. He was healthy last year. All other players who got paid were hurt with exception of Mahomes. Burrow is always hurt. Tua was in mnp discussion. Miami is disrespecting him hugely. If Tua balls out, hope he tells Miami to shove it next year.
Ppl misuse the word “Franchise QB” too often. A True Franchise QB can carry his team. If it’s not throughout the season in big games, it’s most definitely in big moments i.e Ellie Manning. Tua doesn’t do either. That’s the issue Tua supporters don’t want to talk about. Secondly, if you really want to check what you really think of Tua and his value then ask yourself. What would he get in return in a trade? Also, if he has a down year this year and Mia misses the playoffs, would you still pay him MARKET value?
I don't think wither player are worth a $50-60 million contract, but how did both teams look when those players were absent? Dallas only looked good when Dak was down during the Cooper Rush games, and any other tike Dallas struggled. However, I'd also say that Kellen Moore did some of his best game planning when Rush was behind center, offering better run and pass protection by putting an extra lineman in the backfield with him early in his playing and then easing him into more normal looking spreads that the offense runs. Also, you can say Hurtz is at risk of not being worth his contract and hasn't looked the same since getting paid. Is that too early to say? Yes, but it still stands and if Hurtz really isn't as good as he looked before getting paid then it's easy to say it's a toss up between him and Dak on who is better. I think if both players can be had for what the Giants gave Jones, then I'd say that's a good signing.
Tua is not competitive against good teams … ok so we let him walk and go 1-4 then we draft a new guy at the top of the draft again .. no point to be mediocre
lets be real here. if there is one coach that gets the absolute MOST out of his qb's its Sean Payton. Bro won with Teddy Bridegewater, Taysom Hill, Jameis Winston and even beyond washed Russ had a throwback year stat wise thanks to Sean. Andy could never succeed with those qb's...
