Chad the willow is not the only one weeping for you. Thank you and Jeremy both for the years of phenomenal music that like yourself will never be forgotten. RIP 12/20/20
Such a truly beautiful song. Beautifully sung, beautifully orchestrated and with its own unique kind of dreamlike sadness. How did we descend from that kind of beauty in song to the chaos and superficiality we have now.
I was listening to our local Oldies station and they played this song, and I was thrown back into the past and how much I enjoyed their music. So when I got home I came to You Tube and looked up their songs!!! First comment I saw though was that Chad had passed away and that made me sad. He's making beautiful music in Heaven!
Great musicican s & singers.Cahd & Jeremy even did a cover of the Rogers & Hammerstein song"If I Loved You".God bless them & the sweet Memories which they made.BEautiful Memories to cherish in these conflicted, troubled times here in America, sad to say.
Chad Stuart, of the English singing duo of Chad & Jeremy, died on December 20th, 2020 at his home in Hailey, Idaho of pneumonia. He was 79 years old... Between 1963 and 1966 the duo had eleven records on Billboard's Top 100 chart, one made the Top 10, "A Summer Song", it peaked at #7 {for 2 weeks} in October of 1964... They had two Top 20 records, "Willow Weep For Me" {#15 in 1964} and "Before and After" {#17 in 1965}... Surprisingly, they had only one charted record in their native England, "Yesterday's Gone", it reached #37 in 1963... May Mr. Stuart R.I.P. Note: Their above performance is from the November 28th, 1964 episode of 'American Bandstand'...
I saw Chad & Jeremy at Hollywood Bowl summer 1966. They were one of many opening bands for The Beach Boys who were headlining. They sounded great and sang a few of their big hits.
In 1964 when, the British invasion began. The Beatles started the great era. The Rolling Stones, Herman Hermits. Peter and Gordon. Chad and Jeremy. 64 was one of best years of my life. I was going on 15 the summer of 64 going through changes. The fact of the matter people at time., the baby boomers we left child hood and was turning to young Gentlemen. Going up conservative. Like Happy Days. Then the drug culture. That what I couldn't understand why. I had friend O D wow I kept my distance from the dangerous. Like today Heroin leave that stuff alone it will mess you up. It will destroy your life.
I was too young to understand this sound it was rough but the white man's blues. At 7 I heard Hendrix, Joplin, guess who, Aretha Franklin, al green, and the sound of the animals. The bank stole it after 50 years. May your children suffer the same pain.
"Another lip-sync performance. Really nice song, but seen form the perspective of today, it's just the studio version that we have totally preserved on several albums. Wouldn't it be a richer world if we could have had their live performance of it on this show?" Network executives never believed in taking chances.

I liked their songs. Should have performed alone. I did not like their production. Who ever did the strings and horn did a poor job. Also, the mixes were bad.

Rest in peace, Chad. Thank you for the beautiful music.
God bless your sweet Memory, our dear friend.
I was 7 the 1st time I saw them in the fall of 1964.
I can still sing along when I hear one of their songs.
Such a pretty song. We are losing our great singers one at a time so thank God their music has been recorded.
Amen. Our generation was the best
Although. I can't get enough of the 1930s. Movies
I find them. Just as entertaining

Had a chance to see this duo back in '65 at an ice follies show. Made up for having missed the Beatles. Loved C&J music.
Willow, weep for me, taught me how to cry, tears pour on my pillow, dreading the day you will bid me goodbye...
Fantastic duo. Songs are well written and performed in an excellent singing style.
Doesn't get better than this !

Brit invasion and great times. Very nostalgic sound to it, and RIP Dick Clark.
First 45 I bought. Must have listened to it a 100 times when I got home
The best music never dies...
That is until rap and hip-hop and hard rock music invaded the radio airwaves.
Wonderful music!
A beautiful song written by Ann Ronell
I love this song by Chad & Jeremy. I also like Billie Holiday's style which is rather haunting.

Great song.
R.I.P Chad Stuart😞🙏🏿🎶🎸
I'd love to see them and Peter and Gordon do a show together It would be worth any ticket price charge
This Broadcast on Saturday November 28, 1964 on ABC-TV USA for "The New AMERICAN BANDSTAND 1965" in B&W Kinescope & Videotape.
Thank you for that information.
RIP Shel Talmey.... Crazy awesome music.
I like the relaxing sound that Chad and Jeremy have. Dick Clark says "a bit of all right" a lot!
as I recall Jeremy was one of the voices for Jungle Book
Have not heard this song since the glorious sixties😅 boy oh boy😊😊😊
My older sister had their records and she died May 12 th of 2022. She was going on 73 years old when she died .
Willows a big part of summer fo me . Had fun swinging on the branches!

C & J are so cute! The song is awesome!
Originally done in the 1930s by Ted Fio Rito and his Orchestra.

For some reason, about 1/2 way through, this reminds me of a Bond movie song.

Did anybody play bass?
Chad did a lot on their late '60s records. Also on "Batman"! He was a great player and arranger all around.
My last year, then the War...
I loved this tune/ while walking beneath a willow tree
Eu estou no comando!
Written in 1932. Jazz standard.

I've meditated on their poetic lyrics/ it;s fonf memories of the aRBORETUM/ LONG ISLAND

Were the Americans love the British who invaded their country in the 1960's?
Hair..... began to become a thing.
Why are there two of them when they rarely if ever harmonize?
Even this duo beats most of the artist today...What happened to the music and America?Socialism....Let's go Trump....
+Don Brown They're English.
Thumbs up!
Basement Benders I know that..
this bernie supporter adores this song
Lip sync to the record. No doubt about it. RIP Chad.
