There are so many different models on the market from cool to warm mist, led displays and multiple mist settings, top fill or bottom fill you can really get lost but do we even need all of these different settings and is a cool mist humidifier enough for our Houseplants? Let’s talk about it while we are comparing the Itvanila, Levoit, Elechomes and Canma Humidifiers and we are scoring them on the price, functions, quality, convenience and the looks.

Yes yes and yes for the first (swan-like) humidifier. I have that one too, and its a beast with the reach! BTW it has a sleep-timer mode too.

I'm in Canada and for some reason it looks like Amazon wants to rip off Canadians. One of those iTvanila (Phoota) humidifiers is $278.25 Canadian dollars (about $220 US) and there's no coupon. It would be cheaper for me to order it from Amazon USA and pay more for shipping, import fees, and exchange rate which would be around $160 (about $127 US).

I got the itvania after watching this video. I wish I had saw this before getting my 1st humidifier that all the plant people in UA-cam suggested.. the levoit. I don’t even use it anymore. The itvania is 100 times better
It’s so good so glad you and your plants enjoy it. The Levoit is not a bad Humidifier and it really caved the way for other brands to set foot into the work of us crazy plant parents. But yah love love love the Itvanila

I just purchased the Itvanilla from all places Walmart. Make sure you add the warranty wich is 7.00 for 2 years. it's arriving tomorrow hopefully I can do an unboxing on my channel.

Just got the itvanila one because of this video! I saw it says you shouldn’t put it on carpet. Thoughts on that? I’m def going to get the elechomes one as an additional later on 👏🏽
I don’t have carpet but I have one on a wood plate. The ones you use to serve food on from Target. They have the perfect size and it makes them stand secure

Leovoit had Teflon in its interior, NOT Safe for Bird Owners. Can Kill Birds. An Avian website brought it up. I want Warm mist. It makes my throat more comfortable than a cool mist. A warm/ Cool Ultrasonic humidifier is what I am looking for. Also a Top Filling type. The mist can be plentiful depending on the Brands. Ling or short neck does not matter. Results is more important. Tall & slim can be Lovely. Function is most importance in my opinion.
The iTvanila is no longer on amazon that I can find. Where else can you suggest I purchase?

These humidifiers are a LOT more expensive on Amazon Canada. Even taking into account exchange rates. The Elechome SH8820 is $199 Cdn ($158 USD) The iTvanila (Phoota) humidifiers is $278 Cdn ($220 US) and there's no coupon. The Canma is about $240 Cdn ($190 USD). It would be cheaper for me to order a humidifier from the US Amazon site even taking into account shipping and import fees.

I would not recommend that Humidifier. I unfortunately have not the answer I have not tried it
How do these humidifiers affect wood furniture and electronics?
I have never had any issues with electronics and I would not leave a regular humidifier sitting on the floor but the floor standing humidifiers are made specifically for that. I always recommend having a fan running so you can prevent moisture from sitting on surfaces. A battery one should be enough
Just ordered the elechomes ss8830. It for my lung room. Just set it and forget it, lol.
How are you liking the elechomes?
@@Gemineye444 I like it very much. The only thing I dont like is I pretty much use only distilled water. That way never needs cleaned. But it works fantastic.Either buying or making your own RO or distilled water takes time usually. I have an older one, not elechomes that I use sometimes, it gets nasty though. I just use regular water. The elechomes is great though. For a grow tent, its fantastic. Especially if you use RO or distilled water.

I can't seem to find the Itvanila humidifier any longer on amazon. it seems the brand name changed. I found it on the Walmart website and placed an order, but received an email later stating the order was canceled due to seller issues. the link your offering takes me to the new brand do you recommend the one from phoota ? it seems that's the new label.

The “Phoota” isn’t on amazon either. There is another brand but it appears to be half the size, and for the same price.

I ordered 2 different ones the phoota and another another one from a different company just In case this wasn't the Itvanila humidifier. So now I have to decide which one to keep. Lol

@@Tropicalseductions Hi, I find the humidifier hygrometer inaccurate, a difference of 15% compared to an oregon scientific hygrometer, less so with other digital hygrometers. Have you compared the humidity value with other hygrometers? Do you know other humidifiers with precise hygrometers? I was thinking of returning the SH8830.

Question. I just bought the itvanila and was curious, do you use distilled water or tap water? And does this unit create white dust if you DO use distilled or tap water?
Also I saw for the water tank there is a feature which has little pebbles, so those clean the water? And if so, do you need to replace the lid with these pebbles?

I use tab water. White dust? As in mineral build up? I hardly have the issue but sometimes if the mist is directly constantly onto a leaf it happens. You can clean your leaves with a warm damp cloth some people use citrus juice (just a tiny bit) . I have yet to change the pebbles and cant see how I would be able to remove them. But yes they are there to help clean. My oldest is now heading towards 3 years so fingers crossed but I never exchanged anything and hardly clean them. But we might have different water ph. So glad you like it Donavan

@@bethrivera867 I did buy one.. reluctantly I must say. The pictures are obviously the itvanila humidifier, but I don't understand the name change. The seller is also sketchy looking with a random Chinese store name. The only reason I pulled the trigger is because it's shipped from Amazon. Any returns would be handled through Amazon and not the seller. Fingers crossed I dont get burned with a knock off 🤞🤞
