**spoilers** After watching the ending, I feel like this is the perfect song for the scene where Baek Yijin is interviewing Hee Do about her win in San Francisco. That was likely the first time after the breakup that they spoke directly to each other and when they connected all those beautiful memories came rushing back. When the editors added this song to that scene, we get to experience the bittersweetness of their relationship. Bitter because they had to let each other go due to life and sweetness because their relationship was unforgettable and beautiful. Even though they had to let each other go, at least they had met and had something special and nurturing, which is better than if it had never happened at all.
This OST and this drama have been hitting so different since the first time I heard it, and the first trailer I saw for the drama. It makes me reflect on my youth and realise how important self-love and having just one person who supports you unconditionally, and loves you for you can make such a difference! Twenty-five, twenty-one has surpassed all of my expectations. I was in a rut with Kdramas after watching so many I could not find one that I could finish. But there is just something about this drama that reminds me so much of those from like 2016-2019 or maybe its just relatable with the struggles we face in life. There is just something about it, it has made me cry and laugh all at the same time. I have caught myself with a smile on my face throughout a complete episode. I think it will be on the list for my top favorite kdrams ever.
Both Hee-do and Yin-jin have let go. It's hurts me more that even there was so much love between them, they couldn't manage to work it out. I hope everyone can experience their first love like theirs. They supported each other through the most difficult time of their lives and let each other go before their love turned into "hate/disillusionment". That's maturity and you have to have the guts to come to such a decision while love still abounds between the two of you!
