April 2024, and Edinburgh City Council have admitted that the lease on the current Edinburgh St Andrews Square Bus Station expires in 2027 at which time a new location may have to be found. My only real hope is that the next Edinburgh Bus Station is one built to a size and with the number of stances suitable for the purpose because the current bus station is far too small for the requirements of the Scottish capital City. Instead of trying to cram everything into as small a space as possible, perhaps they could think of the drivers who's job it is to enter and exit the new bus station and instead of limiting the number of stances to 16 or 17, take a leaf out of Glasgow's book and double or triple the size.
