Zweig is another of my favorite Wealthtrack guests. Always interested in what he has to say. This episode is worth a second viewing as it offers great fundamental investing perspective and general advice.
It's okay if you don't agree with this type of investing. Many of us do agree. I have 20 positions in high growth stocks. I'm getting 15 dividend Pay checks, however I'm up 235% this year. about 350k this yr. good dividend paying portfolio. although I use an F.A so buy as much as you can and wait for the rebound only the brave gets rewarded in these times!
Very well said. I could almost say the same for myself, wealth is created by proper investment. I got this far because I paid attention to my finances. The stock market controls a huge part of my passive income.
That's quite impressive, you make me feel like I've been playing. The market has been pretty much crazy for me. I'm trading this year with my head high so as to see where it'd go.

Every week I religiously watch WealthTrack, and in part I do because I have great nostalgia for Louis Rukeyser's Wall Street Week show. I miss the guests, and the times.
It is a shame that Fox business co-opted the title because Consuelo would have been the Heir Apparent to Lou. Although nobody could replace Lou, Consuelo would do a respectful job with the show.

Nice one, Bitcoin is the future of Crypto and the question traders ask themselves now is if this is Right time to invest? Before jumping into conclusion I think you should take a look at things first. For the past few days the price of BTC has been fluctuating which means the market is currently unstable and you can't tell if it's going to bearish or bullish. While others still continue to trade without the fear of making lose, others are been patient . It all depends on the pattern with which you trade and also the source of your signals. I would say trading has been going smoothly for me after accumulating over 4BTC since late last year regardless of the wave in price. Thanks, I like the people you pick as guests and feel the kinship of ideas. So different than the prevailing opinions. I bailed from mostly S&P index to mostly cash quite some time ago. That has resulted in a 30 percent potential loss from where I sold until now. At the time I sold I did not believe that the market had any reason to go up and poor valuation was a bad idea. Bubbles do pop and when they pop I will be ready with cash. Besides that I can't take big risks now that I am older. What if the market went down for 20 years? I don't have that much time left!!!!!. I feel less confident in the always keep invested in the market philosophy when the Covid crisis and massive debt financing has occurred (market downturn singularity?). When I get back into buying stocks with low P/E with cash I have there should be a decent return from the investment even if the value of the stock doesn't increase that much.
Know thy self, and where you stand in reference to the whole markets and external factors that effect the markets. You do not need to be a warren buffet, to be a good investor, but it does help. Surprisingly cash is king for zwieg, cash is a must most of the time especially at his age. Consuelo should have asked 1 and second recommendation, with no correlation young and old ( cash, and ...?) or she could have said give me one equity, one bond, hard asset.
I guess one of the theme here is to know thy self, or being mindful our desires, limitations and impulses. In contrast, others are just seeking out the advises from their famous fortune tellers and hope for the best.
i know a good value investor would not just copy other portfolio from website and expect faster return than the rest. But, (i am doing now), i copy the few stocks ideas from few great investors (charlie munger,li lu) to form my family portfolio. i allocate 75% fund to 5 stocks (brk-b, ko, costco, alibaba and tencent)..i understand too diversify portfolio might not working well for me( small fund)and my circle of competence is too small for my ownself to find best 3-5 stock ideas. so, am i wrong because i copy ideas from my idols?
