This is so sad. I come from a culture where family is everything. It is deeply rooted in me that you NEVER hurt your family. This might sound wild, but it goes as far as: No matter how much of an evil person you might be, you NEVER betray or hurt your family. That's just out of the question. That's something impossible.
Family is sacred, and should be the only safe space if everything around you crumbles. Family is the last place you can run to, hide, and be protected. No matter who you are or what you've done. Family will protect you, and you will protect family.
It pains me to see that not everyone has this family culture. That there is so much crime happening inside families. I hope I will be able to pass this family culture onto my future children and partner.

It doesn't mean that I wouldn't share my opinions with you, scold you, cry, try to explain to you that whatever you did was horrible and evil. But in the end you would still be my family and I would hug you and kiss you. Even if I would disagree with your actions and made sure you knew it, I would never betray you. I wouldn't testify against you. I would be silent. Because you're my family.
The only forbidden thing is to touch your family. You NEVER hurt your family. Family is sacred and only one. We would always protect you and never hurt you, and we would expect the same from you. Once you break this, you're no longer part of the family.
And to answer your question: I don't know about other families, or about your family. I'm talking about my family and how I was raised with this family culture. And I will pass this family culture once I create my own.

I lost my father at 13 last year... seeing that someone murdered their own father for love disgusts me. He worked so hard for her, loved her and all, only to die to his daughter's insane way of showing love. Fly high, my brother.
