I wonder if anyone could upload highlights of the semi-final when Ian Botham made a brilliant 96 not out.

That Vic Mark's six Viv would have been proud of that.

Does anyone have the 1979 Gillette cup final Somerset v Northants please ?

I tried to copy Dilley's delivery stride - but couldn't figure out how (or why) he kept that front leg dangling in the air for so long. Then they showed a slow motion of his action sideways - and it was bizarre - his entire right foot dragged along the back crease for ages with his front leg stuck out in front. He basically scraped his body forwards before finally landing. Great pace though.

Somersets last stand with their great team after dominating the one day game (with Essex) in the late 70s

Not many defend less than 200 and win a 50 over contest these days.

Ha. My little rant about pt 2 of this didn't allow for the fact that it was a 50 over game, not 60. But Kent should still have won this easily, even after Tav got out. Don't care if it was a bit dark and Garner was bowling...

Did Underwood play but not bowl? Strange. Maybe picked for his batting :-) (Joke, Deadly is an English cricket legend!)

ecause the captain was an idiot seriously if your not gonna give your number 10 a single over why pick him?? You are not to know his bowling woukld be ineffective until he had at a least 1 over .
