If JJ played the entire CFP against Georgia the score would have been a lot closer. The offense was so much more productive when he was on the field. Don't know if they would have won, but it would have helped

@@di114n2 Not comparing talent then vs now. Just pointing out that in the highlights of the game, the offense was a lot more productive and seemed to gel better when he was out there. His dual threat forced the defense to kind of change things up. Where as when cades in you knew they were just gonna run.
@@derekjones5728 That and everyone knew we were going to run. Once they put JJ in, the defense had to shift up a bit because JJ could pass and run.
I would agree that would be closer of a game because the offense actually started clicking when he got in the game but, he’s much better now with his experience
Facts
This is a great compilation, nice work. Not only does it include the usual highlights, but you also got pivotal 3rd/4th down conversions, the 'wow' throws that don't show up in the box score, the tough runs, etc. Really tells the story of JJ's career at Michigan (so far). Appreciate the time you put into this!

Great video. Please do an update with Michigan's Rose Bowl and National Championship victories! Thanks for this. I've been singing JJ McCarthy's praises for years, along with Jim Harbaugh, and JJ has proven to be exactly what I thought he'd be, a rising talent/star who is about to get drafted in the 1st round of the NFL draft.
All of those dudes who kept telling me, "No way, dude. He's a 4th rounder at best" can go watch the highlights of JJ's magnificent career at Michigan. Too bad he doesn't stay for his senior season and and put another exclamation point on his brilliant college career.
Good luck in the pros, JJ. We love you and will miss your presence around here in every way. What a treat it's been to see you and this team come together over the last few seasons.

After the Scouting Combine, JJ's stock will RISE. He's now listed as the 5th or 6th QB. After the combine, he'll be Top 3, imo. The kid has the raw talent, character and leadership qualities that NFL GMs love.

He can beef up and learn the game as a backup for a team. He’s projected round 1 man
I think his play style is more like Mahomes. Escapes pressure like it's second nature while keeping his body square and eyes down field. The way he throws off balance on the run is very Mahomes-esque.
He's Top Brady with speed and elusivity,..

J.J. McCarthy would be a perfect upgrade over Pickett in Pittsburgh if he were to beatdown Ohio State he definitely will bring that Heisman Trophy to Big Blue End Of Discussion

The fact that I've seen so many Patriots comments makes me realize that if we're thinking this then Kraft might be thinking it as well. There is too much history with our success with Michigan QB's. He may not be Brady but he has a hot as fire leadership mentality that instantly reminds me of the last Michigan QB we had. I'd take him at 3 over Marvin Harrison.

The "athletic" QB's that go in 1st Round never pan out. A guy like JJ with big accurate arm and IQ is far more valuable.
He's going top 10 and he's at least 2 yrs younger than the other draft picks,.

You say current highlights but you go back two years. He's my college fantasy team QB but I've yet to start him because all he does is handoff. I want to see how his passing and running has improved this year. But he passed 37 times against purdue so Harbaugh (just in time for his suspension) is starting to trust the pass more but maybe thats because against purdue both Corum and Edwards averaged less than 3 yards a carry. And in those 37 throws not one TD pass. And they think he can compete with Penix for the Heisman?
When I say current I mean instead of saying full career cause it’s not so I just say current like he’s currently still playing. I guess that’s how you could put it. And Tbh I think the person with the best plays and games should win the Heisman.
