Her bourres alone are perfection. This is absolutely mesmerizing. The difficulty is staggering yet she is so in control and peaceful it seems so effortless and like a mermaid swimming or a fairy flying around
Ça semble tellement facile alors que cette variation est très difficile, bravo Dorothée,la technique est superbe ainsi que l'artistique, j'ai rarement vu cette variation si bien exécuté ❤️❤️❤️
This is lovely choreography, sure it is difficult, very difficult but someone here says that it is pointlessly difficult. If you have fantastic technicians why not give them difficult steps to do? It looks fantastic, there is no point in a dancer training for years and then given simpler steps to do, for any ballet fan this is a beautiful variation because it does have difficult steps in it and Dorothée Gilbert brings them all off with aplomb. For a dancer, being given a variation like this is a challenge, for an audience it is great to watch her doing it
WOW, so easy to see why she is a star dancer with the Paris Opera. Not only is she incredibly precise and makes it look effortless but she actually looks like she loves dancing!
@MaliHannah. Nureyev danced Raymonda at the Kirov where, presumably, the clap was silent (as it is there today). When he brought the ballet to POB in 1983 he insisted that Raymonda's Act III clap should be clearly audible, although I am not sure why.
@MaliHannah You're probably right, I've seen a Russian dancer do this variation, but she didn't make a noise with her hands at all. I've found more videos with other dancers, but my favorite is still Sylvie
the way french dancers use their feet is just exquisite.

Magnifique Dorothée Gilbert qui est une respiration pour la danse

Completely in control in the loveliest way.
Очень все четко,изящно. Браво!

Am a huge fan of Russian ballet.Though Gilbert is absolutely an exception. She is a world class top danser for sure.Outstanding.Bravo!
Simply gorgeous!
Huge performances
NO WORDS
I think I can almost see Platel in her. Beautiful POB arms with such lyricism and fluidity.
Amazing control and grace. Bravissima.
0:48 was just chefs kiss!! I prefer the Nureyev choreography of Raymonda than others.
she makes the most awkward choreography look so beautiful
Ejecucion perfecta. Buena interpretacion tambien. Me encanta su eje.
@MaliHannah thank you very much! it's really hard to find these variations on youtube cuz of the copyrights and everything
She IS ballet!
Exquisite!
Прекрасно🎉🎉

It brought fierceness and attention. I dislike a quiet and slow Raymonda.
Her placement is so incredible. She could probably dance this at an even slower tempo, but then it would get boring.

perfect
The choreography does not express the soft and profound feeling of the music, prefer the Russian version better
Control
does anybody know the name of the Raymonda variation where you do a lot of hand claps?
It's such uncomfortable/awkward choreo. Nevertheless, she is obviously very skilled. Kudos to her for pulling it off!
Very refined and controlled - wonderful technique and beautiful to watch, but I find her very remote.
❤️🌹

Oups décalage par rapport à la musique?!😮😢😂
Почему перестали указывать хореографа ?????
это хореография Нуриева; лично я предпочитаю классический русский вариант..
Pourtant si gracieux que la musique devient accessoire?!
Is this not clemence’s variation?
maybe you're talking about uliana lopatkina, she doesn't make a sound, yes silvie is beautiful, but I suggest you also zakharova.
I actually love the choreography but not the dancer
