As we know Jeff Lorber Did his first fusion album in years. I wish he did it with this group of musician. This in one of the tightest bands ever . I hope to see the original members play together again. That would be awsome, great post.
Favorite album: Wizard Island (Rooftops one of the best track ever recorded and with Chick Corea!), followed by Soft Space, Water Sign, Jeff Lorber Fusion First Album and the last one, Galaxian. On Galaxian, my fav track is ''Magic Lady'' but all this stuff is very good man!
I saw them L.A. and Orange county back in the early 80's. They were "HOT", especially on this chart. I also love the group's previous release to this one, Wizard Island.
My band warmed up for JL Fusion right after this then album was released and they were awesome and very nice to us. Marlon McClain from the R&B group, Pleasure played guitar that night. Great show!! Saw JL again about 10 yrs. ago and spoke with him at length about the band and that night.
Everything was alright - I was in one of the best bands I ever played with and got to warm up Jeff Lorber, Lee Ritenour, Manhattan Transfer amongst others. I actually got talk with JL at length when he returned in the late 90's as a sideman for Eric Marienthal.
@RAMBR0 Danny Wilson started playing again about a couple years ago. He was living in hometown Portland, OR, but now I believe he's moved to Pukalani, HI.
Masterful composition, makes you ask whatever happened to the real Jazzist who were able to fuse fuck with contempoary and make it work. I love these older Jeff Lorger cuts!
The solos in this song are absolutely awesome especially the way Jeff ends his synth solo. I always wondered was that a prophet he is playing. Does anyone no for sure?
Makes you wonder who makes the selections doesn't it? All Jeff's best stuff is on Arista, so I don't see what the difficulty is in getting a true fans compilation together, This album along with others was re-released on Japanese import, but sadly out of print again and used copy prices have inflated to 3 digit $ numbers (check Amazon). I bought them all but some how this one and his first solo went missing after a relocation move!
@jazzpsalti Danny' s still playing? With who? Where? You can';t just drop a nugget like that without back up info (even if the post was a year ago...lol)

Does someone know, where I can download it in high quality?
is kenny G the sax player here?? He was great at funk and this type of music but ahhh.... he sold out to the soppy music and stopped developing ....pity...
Yeah, that's that's Kenny G...at that time he was Kenny Gorelick. Kenny did up some playing back then. But I understand, he had a family to raise and bills to pay and you do what you gotta do to do that. I ain't mad "atcha" Kenny.
Another on of favorite Jeff Lorber classics i still love to listen to.

Cool. Great to hear. I saw Danny Wilson with JLF @ The Back Door at State, circa 1979. He kept it in "The Pocket" effortlessly!!
