    Good video, short and simple, but it seems more oriented to sell Atlist than to teach about Google My Maps.

      @Bee_Hive_10134 21 день тому +3

      I don't agree. I was actually going to say it's nice that someone is offering a tutorial on how to use a free option (in this case a competitor of sorts), which he did very well, and then showed us the limitations of Google My Maps and showed us **IF** we want customization... here's how you can achieve that (for a fee), which is reasonable to cover their costs.

    • @marwynng
      @marwynng 12 днів тому

      @@Bee_Hive_10134 The pitch for Atlist was towards the end of the video already, and as a new user to Google My Maps, I think the instructions were sufficient and I was able to make my own as well. I agree with @Bee_Hive_1034, it is a simple case of giving something of value for free and showing there is a better option as well if you are open to pay a little bit more to be more flexible =). But I do get your point @Salvado-h3x, it does get tiring to see those kinds of videos that are just pushing programs or courses, but this one really delivered on the free information promised.

    I selected the same base map as you. On your base map, there were several blue markers. On my base map there were many blue markers of random houses. There does not appear to be a reason for their presence, unless they were placed there by other users.

    • @marwynng
      @marwynng 12 днів тому

      hi you can try to choose the other base maps, I had the same problem but do try the other ones which are blank. On a side note, its easier to work on the usual map and search for places, then just click on search on area. For example: hospitals a lot of hospitals will pop up but at the very bottom, you can select "search places near current view". That should help you click around and add them to the proper layer hope it helps! (oh and uncheck the layers that you do not need so they don't get mixed up )

    Let’s say I already have multiple maps on Google My map, is there a streamlined way to migrate all of them into Atlist? I know Google My maps let you export as a KML/KMZ files. Do you support importing those kind of files?

    So creating Custom Map looks easy. But how do you actually use. There is no option to get Google Map to navigate you a destination you have mapped out. Struggling to see what the actual purpose of these maps is if you can't use them to navigate to places ?

    Hello. I followed your advice for a long time and I have been improving. Today I have a problem. There are maps where I have put text with information and photographs at all points, but unfortunately when I have gone to open them in Maps it does not let me open them. If I remove information, it does let me. Do you know how we can find out the maximum capacity so that it lets me open it in Maps? How can I check the megabytes that each map "weighs"? Thanks,

      Yeah - we’d love to make it cheaper for those types of uses! We have to pay Google $0.009 every time a map is loaded so unfortunately we lose money if we’re not charging enough. Hopefully we can figure someway to get the cost down in the future 👍
