Just look at Phil and Wes.. they're in their 30's.. they aren't post college anymore.. they're moving towards spending time with GF or eventually starting families.. Its going to be interesting how Wong Fu evolves.. Imagine.. do YOU still want to see 40 year old guys acting like they are in the 20's...
The only reason I am fine w/o Wong Fu Weekends and am comfortable w/ Lunch Break/ FIRST!/ Failed It!, etc. is because WFW began w/ Ted in them. I don't think I'd like WFW to continue on w/o Ted, much like its last couple of seasons. And I disagree w/ WF being UA-camrs in their 40s, only because they are atypical from most UA-camrs in the way they present themselves and satisfy their fanbase. I mean, I can hardly imagine Ryan Higa or D-Trix acting like 32 year old's (as Wes and Phil are), let alone 40 year olds.
So much I want to say about this Lunch Break! I'm over on the east coast and was at work, so unfortunately I missed the live stream. First off, congrats on the 50th episode! I hadn't realized that it was going on for that long! (insert "time flies" idiom) Secondly, did anyone else feel intimidated when Phil stared into the camera?? (it's like he's staring into your soul or you're on an interview . . . what was going through his mind? I got a little tense) Third thing is Wong Fu Weekends. Yes, we all loved it because it was WF having adventures and it was more of a vlog style which was refreshing. Do I want to see more of WFW, sure! But I understand that as a company and UA-cam channel you are trying to grow and make new things, so keep it up! (if your subscribers miss it that much, then we can just go rewatch the episodes! Yay!) Finally, Wong Fu Productions is a family. Each member contributes something to the team. We all miss seeing Ted on camera because he was part of the original three, Phil is the main spokesperson, Wes is the the creative genius, Christine is the positive mom, Ashley is the active little sister, Taylor is the comedian, Benson is the quiet but hard working brother, Jen is the behind-the-scenes awkward ninja, and Chris is the patient newbie (of course these are just my on-the-fly labels and hold zero weight over what you guys are actually like). Hearing comments read of "lay off phil" and reading some comments myself down here (albeit negative ones about Wes being boring or not friends with WF members in real life), I feel the need to say that family members get on each others nerves sometimes, but they ultimately still love each other. Haters gonna hate but I think Wes is great because I love his creative mind. Y'all pick on Phil but he's not going to turn around and fire everyone because he loves and appreciates all of you. You guys constantly communicate and have found a way to quickly get past differences and I appreciate that about you guys. Build into each other, spur each other on to be better, encourage one another, support one another, keep being the relatable Wong Fu Productions that we love! Wong Fu for Life!!!!! p.s. Are you guys still active on your website? Because the most recent video is "After Us" but I know you have done more shorts since then.
