    Honestly, a clever tool and alternative to a knife. Especially in the States where some states restrict carrying fixed blades.

    Kev, good to see/ hear from you. Nice product and very nice shooting. I think it would be cool if you stamp your logo Robin Hood hat on the Handle. A quick question when you go to the gatherings do you film any, I have watched Grizzly Jim's videos but it would be cool to see others. Thank you.

    Keep it in the boot, preferably in a locked box. Regardless of how obvious the tool is, the police will probably fail to understand. Nicely made gizmo though. A good steel knife (thicker gauge Mora, 15 euros not 200) will do the job but will blunt the tip which is hard to sharpen. This awl type device makes sense.

    I have one stuck in my out building. I'll bet it won't take it out.

    A metal back end you can hit with a hammer (or a rock) would work much better. You won't get far into dense wood without a bit of concussive force.

    Umm not a bad idea but never in a million years is that ash....Tiller on your longbow isn't optimal, if you want less set go for a more elliptical tiller :)

    It's called a stiletto and it's illegal

    • @RobinhoodarrowsRHA
      @RobinhoodarrowsRHA  5 років тому +2

      A stiletto has an actual blade whereas this doesnt. This is closer to a Marlin spike.
      Legality of knives (which this isnt) would be subject to local laws

      Illegal in the pub on a Saturday night, but I'm sure you'll be ok carrying it while shooting in the woods or at the archery club.

      In fact, it's the same tool like a "Marlspieker" or in english called a Marlinspike. Every Sailor has one on his belt and yes there a lot of seaside kriminal stories where the murder used such spikes :-) So time to write a kriminal story with an "Arrow Removal Spike". In Germany there is no problem when you wear such a tool on your belt during your shooting.
      If you need it to do you job as a craftsman you can wear it on you belt during your work. In all other cases it has to stay in a closed carrybag, cause it is a "Stichwaffe". A stiletto is also a weapon of the same category. So you can run into troubles if you wear it on you belt in public. I use a simple round Markspieker in a leather sheath I bought in a shop for sailors as removal tool for arrows :-)
