I have a couple Gucci bags I've owned from the '90's. I will try these cleaning tips. Last year, I cleaned my Louis Vuitton and it did take about an hour to clean it. Thank you for making this video!!!!
I've had good luck over the years with a spray called Smells Begone. It doesn't have a scent itself, which can be good for the early stages so you don't overdo the masking scent.
Thanks! I’ll definitely give this a try
your shirt is hilarious 😂 I love it
Do you have any tips for cleaning hardware on bags?
Haha thanks! I saw it online and was reeled right in!
And re: hardware, you can try brasso for vintage brass or a sterling cleaning cloth for other materials.
I kind of like tarnish on some of my older bags though! To shiny makes me think of new!
@@KWSHOPS thank you!
Love these tips ❤
So glad you enjoyed! Please lmk if there’s anything else you’d like to see on this channel ❤️
@@KWSHOPS I will, thanks 😊 💓💗
I thought you were not going to buy bags this year. Do you use the one in one out method?
Great tips! Thanks for sharing.
I have not as as good luck removing odors from bags and now try not to buy bags with odors listed. I just bought a bag from the RealReal and it came with the most horrid perfume smell. Not listed of course 🙄. I cleaned the bag, left it out in the sun, and also tried charcoal packs. No change, and I didn’t want to do anything that may cause damage because I was able to get them to take it back because they hadn’t disclosed the odor.
I've had that issue and may I suggest take a plastic bag and pour baking soda all over the bag and tie it overnight and the small will be gone. I live in Florida and had a lizard die in my bag and it worked like a charm. Hope this helps.
@@nicolethorpe6498 that's a great idea!! On a side note omg, I never thought of lizards crawling into a bag and dying 😮
What do you think might work for removing smoke smell? Just wondering if you’ve dealt with that stinker.
I haven't done a lot of work with smoke smells (I'm terribly averse to it) But I would start if possible with a good soap scrub on the inside and outside if possible (will depend on material) to remove some of the particles.
Also, my very favorite odor removing solution is this amzn.to/3UbyL8y it takes a few tries but definitely worth it
Eww I am too sensitive to smell don't think I should try vintage 😢 dare not even try prelove sometimes
Preloved newer bags tend to be much safer. I am also verrrrry sensitive to smells (especially perfume!) but this wasn’t so so bad.
