It's interesting how the game tricks you into thinking that it doesn't matter what you say at the end of a cycle to the voices, but then it comes back to bite you in the butt.
I really, REALLY hope merg does another playthrough of this to see more endings, this is without a doubt one of those series that will hold up years later like Omori or Undertale or Hollow Knight There’s just something so enjoyable about it

It's implied that's what they're going to do, as Opportunist even directs them to do something and Cold even states it's going to be fun. God, this game is incredible! I had already seen 2 full unique playthroughs before watching this one and was amazed to see how much stuff I still hadn't seen from this game! Around half of the routes Merg did were completely new to me and honestly have to be some of my favorites now that I've seen them. Thank you so much for playing this game, of the 3 full playthroughs I've now seen, this one is probably my favorite.
Oh wow. I will be honest, I clicked on this video with lustful intentions, but wow, this game went from great to phenomenal all of the sudden! It was strangely nostalgic when the Voice of the Hero came back and brought us back to the original cabin, the original basement, and the original Princess. Even though all of that only happened a few episodes ago, it was still nostalgic. One thing I liked about this was how, unlike in other games that break the fourth wall, like Undertale, the fourth wall is something of a character in itself here. It is also done in a creative way. Yes, this game acknowledges time loops and stuff, but it never does the "The game is aware it is a game" thing. It breaks the fourth wall by acknowledging video game mechanics such as coming back after death but in an in-universe way. Not like how Flowey explains his immortality by just going, "Oh I SAVED the game!" This game was incredible! I cannot wait for future content for it! :D
There are multiple endings to this game. In my opinion, you got one of the bad endings. Although, whether or not that ending is bad really depends on perspective. When you decide to kill her or not, you have to remember that she doesn't only embody death but also change. So, by killing her you are getting rid of change. In a world without change, everything is stagnant. Yes, people just go about their lives without the fear of death or violence or anything bad happening, but what about all the good stuff? Without change, you won't be able to experience all the good stuff that happens in your life. A world like that sounds... really boring. Also, death is what give life meaning, so if people live forever than after awhile they would experience everything that could experience and seen of the things that they could see and then life would have no meaning because of that. The point is that I think that change is a necessity that no one can live without.
I don't think people would even exist either, since by removing change you also removed evolution. Or they'd evolve but not in the way we evolve - they'd just be primitive forever.
Congratulations, Merg. So now that we are done I could clarify a couple things Dispite Merg believing that He does, the Narrator doesn't remember you in chapter 2/chapter 3, that is a new version of a Narrator so he hasn't meet you This construct you are in and specially the Princess changes based on your perspective, whatever you believe is truth it becomes the truth If you believe the Princess is a monster she becomes a monster, if you believe the adversary will come back she comes back This is why the Smitten and the Stubborn are considered the strongest Voices, the Smitten is a true believer that loves wins at the end, and the Stubborn doesn't believes in facts, he believes what he wants
Contrarian, Cheated and Paranoid are also considered the strongest: one is able to defy facts just to annoy the narrator; one is able to defy facts because he's sick of losing; one is able to keep us alive out of complete fear. Also there's another bit in Adversary where you can choose not to take her offer of a cheap shot and she rejects it, then you both clash and seemingly die but Stubborn forces you to get up, and Adversary also comes back to life. From there it's the same; if you believe she can't die, then you've rendered her, and yourself, immortal.
Dude like this game is just so awesome i love the story and how well it makes things become intense and how they build the final battle with you going back to all your past attempt (im a big fan with those type of boss battle) very inspiring to me i love it! And the ending with all the voice start jumping on you is just perfect 😂 merg thank for playing and introducing us to this game.
