- August 14, 2022 - It's undeniable how important MUSIC is in WWE and Pro Wrestling as a whole. But there've been more than a couple times where the song given to one wrestler may get remixed or rerecorded before being given to a completely different wrestler. The most famous (or infamous) case would be Dean Malenko - whose song was given lyrics and packaged with Antonio Cesaro - here are five other such cases.

Do you prefer original wrestler theme songs or remixes/remakes? Who would you say have the best entrance songs in the industry?
I don't know if people remember but the street profits theme that they use right now wasn't originally used by them since a original version called unity was used for the former group of Sasha banks, tamina, and Naomi called team bad
Ah Team BAD - it was an awkward time - nobody wanted to cheer for the Bellas and Fox, and Charlotte, Becky and Paige had to rename because "submission sorority" was too close to an adult series by brazzers
John Cena coming out to beautiful people I believe at the time was also smackdown intro music that will be probably why
Yup it was - thats why I thought it made sense as an honorable mention - simply because you wouldn't have expected that (he technically did have music as he had been wrestling dark matches - it was a stock song that he'd debut on air next match)

WWE would remix a song and hand it over to a different wrestler. They also remixed a song used by Hit Row before their release and then gave it back to them 2 years later when they returned. They had to remix it to take out any parts with Swerve because he is in AEW
Bart guns theme was also used for the first version of the xfl...Ezekiel's theme can also be said to be a remix of that
Ditto Brock Lesnars current theme as the xfl version was a stripped version of that
As an entrance song junkie, I was only aware of 2 of these remixes prior to this video. WOW.

Val Venis’ theme is a remix of The Model Rick Martel’s theme.
Another person had suggested that - but they don't share the same instruments, beat, or backing track. I've actually tried reaching out to Jim Johnston to confirm but so far all signs have pointed to completely different songs

I don’t think Cena was so much using Beautiful People as his ‘theme song’ as much as he was using the SMACKDOWN theme as a placeholder because he was a surprise debut. So it’s not that they were trying to make that Cenas theme, they were more implying “this guy is SO NEW he doesn’t even have his own song yet !”. Get what I’m saying?

How about Val Venis using Rick Martel's model song with more sexy saxophone?
That one is super tough but other than the tempo the tracks aren't similar enough to suggest one is a remix of the other - very suspiciously close though. I even had to go back and listen to both to be sure
John Cena's doesn't count because he was simply using the song that was used for the show. It would count if it wasn't the same song being used for smackdown at the time is my point

The songs are similar but one wasn't made from the other - infact they used their respective songs at the same time
@@JOBdOut yeah that's true. I remember being shocked when I recently learned of the similarities because both acts were my first favorites as a kid.

I don't agree with WWE or WWF having better themes than ECW or NWA. Road Warriors when Iron Man came on you knew who it was. Ric Flair when his song came on. Almost everybody in ECW their songs worked like RVD to Walk or SAbu having one of the greatest themes ever. NObody in WWF has anything but these crappy fake songs. Penelope Ford has the best song right now in AEW but Best Friends is good even TH2 for mostly Instrumental. I seen Evie in interview with MIlo Beasley who I think is Dakota Kai or so now. There is a web site I Used to look up themes to find Killer Bees or others. For me in video games I think I had Jericho 2YK or Walls coming down? Even Blitz the League had better more memorable songs to me hehe :). Wild Thing hehe. I'll admit a Car Crash totally ruined my life so can relate to that. I guess helps if name is Brian if want to be Pro Wrestler :)? Funny Swagger won Championship in WWE been a total joke in AEW :). Let the Bodies Hit The Floor or so is best Wrestling Theme ;).
Thing is so many of your listed songs are actually songs and mostly from an era before copyright vultures started demanding royalties for themes. When AEW hired Danielson they approached Europe for Final Countdown and the band wanted $100,000 PER PLAY.
@@JOBdOut Hehe well WWE copy writes their songs as well. I think that last song sounded like Mike Awesome. Unless its just a tribute thing. Triple H had Motorhead do cover song for him. I remember many complained not getting Enter Sandman for Hak. You could have it for the live events. I thought ECW had rights to use Let The Bodies Hit The Floor? Somebody owns rights to most songs. I don't think Macho Man theme is. Right Pomp and Circumstance? What about RicFlair recall in Space Odyssey or movies? NWA had Dokken song get too much. If company makes own song or uses it then its all same. Kelly Kelly had the Buttons song or others I really liked :). Married With Children or other shows chagne themes when get DVD as to why I stopped. Freddy Nightmares or others. Its about associations of song to wrestlers. NOt only if your born in certain era or age. MMA has real songs I think still. I'm against Copy Write laws so will abolish them one day or amend ;). Nothing is original its all the same notes or words just arranged a bit or tempo. I had them try to claim Emperor 4 track for a medley on here ;). Many themes knockoffs like Midnight Express has one of best ever. The Chase by Italian its in movie but FTR has a remix knockoff of that in AEW :).
Think they got to use Bodies because Jim johnstons speeddial included drowning pool. I still don't know how or why they didn't use the motor head version since that was on the ECW anarchy rocks cd and they had such a good rapport with the band
@@JOBdOut I bet WWE owns those rights as even Haku Blues by SAbu I think is on a soundtrack. Other day I had on Showtime or HBO when boxing came on. Guy played TNT from AC/DC for his song. So they still do it in MMA and Boxing. I listen to obscure stuf would probalby use Abruptum heh. I'd want it to play entire time like New Jack song. Then like That Bootsy guy did him a custom song or somebody well known. I always forget song but I'd often hear on BAckyard Public Access when like laughs or weird start. I'm not sure if same band its used in lot of Wrestling songs. Has like the cool beat but can't recall rest hah.
