9:35 I will say that top of the blower housing where the air filter goes looks like the rectangle shape of a Honda v twin air filter. We have a handful or a few more generators out there with those engines. Sometimes we have issues with their unregulated charging system and it can take off and give ya like 16.5 volts because Honda rates em at 3600 but no load on a gen is like 3750-3800 or so. Funny thing is , the ac output from a Honda or Briggs v twin stator is about 30 volts. I'd like to take a gamble and try a Briggs 10 amp regulator/rectifier on one but the boss is not down with it.
Any idea what the purpose of that long vent hose is for that connects to the nipple on the bottom of the air cleaner housing? It's on the carb side of the filter, so theoretically it could allow dust, etc. to be sucked directly into the carb. Maybe not likely seeing how long the hose is, but I don't see the point of it and am thinking I'll just plug it. I bought one of these earlier this year to replace an older 18hp vanguard on a wood chipper that has an eroded/rusted spot on a cylinder wall. Haven't put it on yet and am probably going to hold off at this point. I actually mentioned my situation in your video on the rusted out 18hp vanguard you got running recently. FWIW... :)
Does the engine not come with a muffler? Seems to me that if the Predator comes with a muffler then it might be better value. In California the ability to actually get the unit is an issue.
What is you're personal experience and thoughts of the KOHLER MAGNUM Opposed Twin (Vertical and Horizontal) Engines? I personally prefer these compared to the Briggs since the Carburetor is easier and cheaper to rebuild. I'd love to have a V-Twin (but not a Command) to convert my 1986 CRAFTSMAN GT6000, but I'm not made of money...
They both have trade offs. The briggs selling point for me is running in the cold. That will be the big test on this engine. Summer is easy. Running and plowing in sub 20 then you find out where the breaking points are.
Cool 😎 video RNCG.
I still remember when you were roughing it in the multi level tiny home you and your son were in.
This was extremely helpful for me thank you
Excellent info team RCG Racing!

How about countersinking the holes in the adapter a quarter inch or so so you get more thread
