@Jorge Leal often I'll load up 2 icicle spears and commit to using 1 shield. Now, if I notice that the opponent is loading up to 2 rock slides as well, I will take a chance and throw earthquake on first charge move. If the opponent is on a hurry to let out those rock slides, then I'll keep doing chip damage with as many icicles as possible 🙂
Very nice!! Yeah, I mentioned at the beginning of the video that Medicham works with this team comp too. Toxicroak takes practice to understand how to best use it 👍
Yup that's why I went with it and i just went 5-0 again and I now believe that this team is truly strong also im around rank 13 rn so it's not against inexperienced trainers.
The shadow used to be ranked higher, before the introduction of zap cannon Registeel, but now the normal version is ranked higher. With all that said, the non shadow is ranked 5th, and the shadow is ranked 7th, so not a major difference there. I would say build the best one that you have 👍👍
A 100% is great if you aren’t level 40 yet, but if you are and have access to XL candy, ideally you want one with the lowest attack possible with as close to perfect defense and hp as possible. A 100% IV can only go up to level 41-maybe 42 but you can take a goof pvp IV one like I mentioned up to like 49-49.5
Nice team! Do you think there will be a noticable performance difference between your Walrein's IV spread (for Azu breakpoint I assume) vs. say, a rank 1-20 Walrein? I am debating which one to (re)build.
There is difference for the Azumarill match, and a few others, but with knowing what iv’s you’re working with, I would say go with the high ranked / high bulk build 👍👍
Agree 100% about the XL/nonXL Sableye. I’ve got one one rank under yours and omg the extra bulk is very nice. I’ll never play with my non XL ever again unless there is a cup one day that prohibits XLs. Having said that, before I got my XL ready, I see my normal with great success. So if you don’t have an XL, start building one but use the normal one in the meantime. This team looks super fun. I’ve gotta a shiny toxicroak built but the IVs suck haha. Although I will say IVs don’t seem to be AS important in this league as in the higher leagues IMO. I’ve been using MediXL lead, SableyeXL safe, Trevenant in the back and holy crap! Gained 200 ELO over 2 days with the team (I had dropped to around 2200ish in the last rotation)
Good advice about using non-XL Sableye in the meantime. I ended up powering my 13/15/15 Sableye once I hit level 40 and it's been good for now, and, walking with it gives me decent amount of XL candy for the top ten rank Sableye I have sitting in my box. I wonder though, how much better an even more XL Sableye will be though, I may use candies for Shadow XL :)
@@Mindfuluser2024 Sableye is one of only two (that I’m aware of at least; the other being wobuffet) pokemon that is preferred as a purified mon. It’s best available move set is return and foul play paired with shadow claw. If you use a shadow; you’ve got to go power gem instead of return, which doesn’t have as wide of coverage and doesn’t hit as hard. Also, the extra bulk you’d get XL-ing it would be negated by the 20% less damage it can take being shadow. So essentially you’d be left with a normal version that hits harder but doesn’t have the best moves it can have. As for you question… is it even worth it? From 1st-hand experience my answer is absofrickinlutely. The difference in the amount of punishment a high level Sableye can take vs the normal version is not nothing. It’s quite a bit. Very noticeable
Medi double ghost sounds very strong and tons of fun!! That’s an awesome climb as well!! As for iv’s in the Great League, they do matter, with the exception of a few Pokémon. How bad are the iv’s on your Toxi? If it ranks in the top 200’s, I would build it, but if not, Toxi is a Pokémon that you would really maximize on bulk with 👍👍
@@PoGoGrind it is super fun and shreds almost everything it sees with one glaring exception…. Charm A9. That thing can pave a trail right through the whole team. But besides the occasional charmer it can hang with 95% of the teams it sees. And the shiny toxicroak is terrible. (I’ve actually got 2 and they’re both booty). I do have some really good IV croagunks that I’ve just been too lazy to evaluate to see which is best to build: maybe I’ll do that tonight to make some room in my bag for Johto and to go ahead and have a good Toxi ready to go. See? You inspire people to stop slacking haha! Thanks for the video my guy and Keep Up The Grind!
There best replacement for Walrein would be Alolan Ninetales with powder snow, but it’s really not quite the same. Lapras and Dewgong are not good replacements, because the don’t have powder snow, or a charge move similar to icicle spear 👍
What can i use as a substitution for Sable eye? Can cofagrigus or jellicent work?, btw love your content man 10/10 your teams made me climb to Ace for the first time 😢
Thank you!! So glad to hear that my teams have help you!! Yes, Cofagrigus (with Dark Pulse) is one of the best replacements for Sableye, along with Trevenant 👍👍
The Cofagrigus suggestion is good. If you don't have access to that, maybe something with Shadow Punch like CD Gengar, Haunter, or XL Dusclops (Shadow is better IMHO).
Man I’m running a team that’s so close to this, only Pokémon dif is trevanant in the back to close and it’s nasty but gunna have to give this team a shot I have a rank 1 toxi
Interesting. I climbed to legend with walrein, sableye and DD.
Nice!! DD is very strong as well!
@@PoGoGrind must say that toxycroak is indeed better. Using DD means that the team is super weak to obstagoon and scrafty.
What is DD?

13-0 with this team, thats my best so far. So thank you!
and my sableye isnt XL cuz I'm level 39. Its a CP 1479 with 15/12/15 IV, with best buddy boost. Still slaps!
Very nice!! This team is so strong!!
What do you do with GFisk on the lead?

I love those 3 pokemons. Can't wait to try your team!
It is so strong!!!
How do you combat a fairy Pokémon in the back. Just encountered one and it wiped toxicroak and sableye out with very little trouble.
You have to swap out into Toxi on to neutral leads to bait out the charmer 👍
I used this team to get me from rank 17 to 20 yesterday. Beast of a team!!
Very nice!! It is a very powerful team 👍👍
I had beat this team with deoxys, obstangoon, and trevenant it was a tough one tho
would abomasnow be a good alternative if I don't have a walrein?
The best replacement would be powder snow Alolan ninetales, but you could give Abomasnow try 👍
Hey PoGo~ is there anything i can put in exchange for that Toxicroak ? i got Rank1 Walrein and Rank1 Puri Sableye
Medicham or Deoxys would work 👍
When I ran this team for the first set I did crappy and went 1-4 and then on the second set I swapped Toxicroak for Medicham and went 5-0👍

IS better w walrein shadow? Or normal (i have a rank 10 shadow)

Is there a benefit to Walrein with 1 hp?
Yes, it is at its maximum bulk potential, while also having enough attack to consistently beat play rough Azumarill 👍
