Where are you located? Everyone local to me wants to take off the lower spoiler. Not a big fan of having all that taken off a car with 600 miles on it. Seems like your method works just fine
Wow power washed the back windshield..... ballsy I cringed so bad, wouldn’t all that inside molding scratch the film? I’m being super critical since I’ve scratched a bunch myself. One thing is touching up with the heat gun to smooth a small finger or two inside but to mold seems risky...Burned panels, scratched film etc....a suggestion would be use a blue shop paper napkin to cover your hard card to avoid scratching the film, your technique itself is flawless I’d say just use a napkin or a suede edge card....great video keep em coming!
Hey man that sounds like a material issue , maybe a cheap tint ? If its installed correctly and a quality film you shouldnt have any issues after its installed.
I just tinted this window and it gave me a hard time. I own my own shop and have been tinting for almost 20 years and this one isn't easy. I'm guessing you used a plotter to cut it out? My issue was shrinking the part under the wing. Taking the wing off is not a practical option and shrinking the film higher up doesn't get all the fingers out so I was left shrinking on the inside which is never ideal. I got it done but there's got to be a better way.
Mark Porter I played around with this window for about a week and this is the best method I could come up with . I have removed the spoiler on 2 other ones I've done and it really wasn't hard or an issue , but I understand what you mean it is absolutely ridiculous that this is even an issue. Wish I could give a better answer but unfortunately this is just one of those cars.
Good work
Nice video
Wet shrink or dry shrink. Dryer sheet??

Why would anyone tint the outside of a window? Seems like it won't last very long in sun, rain, hail, snow, etc.
Dave Hill heat shrinking takes place on the outside , tint is installed on the inside.
@@tintguy101 ^^someone didn't watch the whole video I guess^^, haha! Great video, thanks for the info.
